"Shining Light" is a song by Ash, which was released as the first single from their album Free All Angels. It was released on 29 January 2001. It was released as a single CD and as a 7-inch vinyl. It was also Ash's first single to be released as an enhanced CD. "Shining Light" reached number eight on the UK Singles Chart. The song had been covered by fellow Downpatrick songwriter Triona in 2015 which featured on a Power NI advert.
Feeder are a British rock band formed in Newport in 1994. They have released 11 studio albums, 12 compilations, four EPs and 43 singles, spending a combined total of 184 weeks on the singles and albums charts as of 2019, while accumulating 25 top 75 singles between 1997 and 2012. At the peak of their commercial success, Feeder won two Kerrang! Awards in 2001 and 2003; they were inducted into their Hall of Fame in August 2019.

UKChartsPlus is an independent weekly newsletter about the UK music charts. It was first published in September 2001 as ChartsPlus in order to authoritatively record the official music chart information in the UK, as compiled by the Official Charts Company. It began after Hit Music, a sister publication of Music Week, ceased publication in May 2001. The new newsletter was established totally independent of Music Week, licensing the chart data directly from Official Charts Company and other chart providers.

The Official Chart, broadcast on BBC Radio 1 and MTV, is the UK music industry's recognised official measure of singles and albums popularity because it is the most comprehensive research panel of its kind, today surveying over 15,000 retailers and digital services daily, capturing 99.9% of all singles consumed in Britain across the week, and over 98% of albums. The rules have changed many times as technology has developed, the most notable being the inclusion of digital downloads in 2005 and streaming in July 2014.
"Wishing on a Star" is a ballad first recorded by American soul and R&B group Rose Royce. It was written by former Undisputed Truth member Billie Rae Calvin, and produced by Norman Whitfield. The song was originally offered to Barbra Streisand for an album project but she declined. It was first released as a single by Rose Royce in 1977 and has since been recorded by numerous acts including the Cover Girls in 1992, Jay-Z in 1998, Beyonce in 2005, and Seal in 2011. 21 Savage used a sample of the original 1977 version for his hit All of Me, which was released on his 2024 album American Dream, and used earlier in the trailer for his debut film, American Dream: The 21 Savage Story
Blood Red Shoes are an English alternative rock duo from Brighton consisting of Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell. They have released six full-length albums, Box of Secrets (2008), Fire Like This (2010), In Time to Voices (2012), Blood Red Shoes (2014), Get Tragic (2019) and Ghosts on Tape (2022) as well as several EPs and a number of singles. In 2014, they founded their own label, Jazz Life.

Chase & Status are an English electronic music duo composed of Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status). In addition, Andy Gangadeen is the drummer when the band performs live. MC Rage formerly performed as MC with the group, but left in July 2021 to focus on solo ventures. The duo are from London, and formed in 2003 after meeting at university in Manchester. The duo have since released six studio albums and collaborated with major artists such as Plan B, CeeLo Green, Rihanna, Example, and Tinie Tempah. They run the independent record label MTA Records. William Kennard founded ELAM in 2014.
"Girls" is a song by British girl group Sugababes for their sixth studio album Catfights and Spotlights (2008). It was written by band member Keisha Buchanan along with Anna McDonald and Nicole Jenkinson, while production was helmed by Si Hulbert and Melvin Kuiters. The song was released on 6 October 2008 as the lead single from Catfights and Spotlights. The song is built around an interpolation of "Here Come the Girls" (1970) by American singer Ernie K-Doe. Due to the inclusion of the sample, Allen Toussaint is also credited as a songwriter.

"Hands" is a song by English duo The Ting Tings. It was written by both Katie White and Jules De Martino and mixed by label-mate Calvin Harris. The single was released to radio airplay on 18 August 2010 after premiering on the Huw Stephens show on BBC Radio 1 at 9:30 pm; a remix was also released for free via digital download on 11 October 2010 on the band's Facebook page. The song was performed at the Wireless Festival, as part of the setlist; they were joined with dancers holding signs, saying work, which when flipped around, would say dance. The song debuted at number 29 on the UK Singles Chart. The line spoken by De Martino at the start of the song, "I don't want to go out. I want to stay in." is a reference to the first lines spoken in the David Bowie song "Modern Love", 'I know when to stay out, I know when to stay in and get things done.'
"Miami 2 Ibiza" is a song by Swedish house music group Swedish House Mafia and English rapper Tinie Tempah. It was released as the second and final single from the group's debut compilation album Until One (2010) by Virgin Records in October 2010. The song is also included on Tempah's debut album Disc-Overy (2010) and later on the group's second studio/compilation album, Until Now (2012). In January 2011, the single was certified gold in Australia.
"Champion" is a song by British rapper Chipmunk from Chipmunk's second studio album Transition (2011). It features American singer Chris Brown and was released as the second single from the album on 6 February 2011 in the United Kingdom. The song was written by Chipmunk and Chris Brown, and it was produced by Harmony Samuels. According to Chipmunk, he wants the listeners of the song to "feel like they were born a champion". The song was later added to the international deluxe edition of Brown's fourth album, F.A.M.E. (2011).
Playing in the Shadows is the third studio album by British recording artist Example, released on 4 September 2011 through Ministry of Sound. Example confirmed that much like the previous album, there would be no collaborations, besides that of producers. During an interview, Example said the album remains dance oriented, although he would make a gradual move into electronic and dubstep genres.
"Stay Awake" is a song by British musician Example from his third studio album, Playing in the Shadows. The song was written by Example and produced by British electronic music trio Nero. It was released on 28 August 2011 as the album's second single and was added to the BBC Radio 1 playlist. The song premiered on BBC Radio 1 as Zane Lowe's 'Hottest Record in the World' on 4 July 2011. On 4 September 2011, the single debuted on the UK Singles Chart at number one.
"Bright Lights" is a single by British rapper Tinchy Stryder. The song is a collaboration with British singer-songwriter Pixie Lott. It was meant to be the third official single taken from his fourth studio album Full Tank, but Full Tank was scrapped, making it a non-album single. It was released on 2 March 2012 as a digital download. The single was co-written by Stryder and Lott alongside its producer Jarrad Rogers.
