Albania, officially the Republic of Albania, is a country in Southeast Europe on the Adriatic and Ionian Sea within the Mediterranean Sea. It shares land borders with Montenegro to the northwest, Kosovo to the northeast, North Macedonia to the east, Greece to the south and maritime borders with Greece, Montenegro and Italy to the west.
The Albanians are an ethnic group native to the Balkan Peninsula and are identified by a common Albanian ancestry, culture, history and language. They primarily live in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia as well as in Croatia, Greece and Italy. They also constitute a diaspora with several communities established in the Americas, Europe and Oceania.

The Kingdom of Albania was the official name of Albania between 1928 and 1939. Albania was declared a monarchy by the Constituent Assembly, and President Ahmet Bej Zogu was declared King Zog I. The kingdom was supported by the fascist regime in Italy, and the two countries maintained close relations until Italy's sudden invasion of the country in 1939. Zog fled into exile and never saw his country again. The Communist Party of Labor of Albania gained control of the country toward the end of World War II, established a communist government, and formally deposed Zog.
Liberation Army of Chameria is a reported paramilitary formation in the northwestern Greek region of Epirus. The organisation is reportedly linked to the Kosovo Liberation Army and the National Liberation Army, both ethnic Albanian paramilitary organisations in Serbia and Macedonia respectively.

Festivali i Këngës is an annual music competition in Albania organised by the national broadcaster Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH). It determines the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest and has been broadcasting almost every year since its inauguration in 1962.
Padonkaffsky jargon or Olbanian is a cant language developed by a subculture of Runet called padonki. It started as an Internet slang language originally used in the Russian Internet community. It is comparable to the English-based Leet. Padonkaffsky jargon became so popular that the former President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev jokingly suggested that Olbanian be taught in schools.
The Royal Albanian Air Corps was from 1928 till 1939 and was part of the Royal Albanian Army.
The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic was confirmed to have reached Albania on 8 March 2020, a father and son who had travelled from Florence, Italy.As of 18 April 2020, there are 548 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Albania.
