Shturm-2002 Moskovskaya Oblast, a.k.a. Shturm Ruza, is a Russian water polo club. Founded in 2002 in Chekhov, Moscow Oblast, in 2010 it was relocated to Ruza, also in the Moscow Oblast.

Shturm Chekhov's male team won four national championships plus the 2008 LEN Trophy between the years 2005 and 2009. [1] The female team was the national championship's runner-up between 2009 and 2011 and like its male counterpart, it won the Women's LEN Trophy one year later. [2] In the 2011–12 season the male and female teams were defeated in the LEN Trophy's Round of 16 [3] and the European Cup's quarter-finals respectively. [4]

The Russian Women's Water Polo Championship is the premier championship for women's water polo clubs in Russia. Founded in 1992 following the breakup of the Soviet Union, it is currently contested by ten teams.

The Championnat de France de water-polo féminin is the premier championship for women's water polo clubs in France. First held in 1983, it is currently contested by seven teams. It is currently granted two spots in the Champions Cup and two in the LEN Trophy.

The Women's LEN Trophy is LEN's second-tier competition for women's water polo clubs. It was first held in 2000 as the LEN Women's Cup Winners' Cup. It was contested for many seasons by around 15 teams, which could qualify for it either directly due to high ranking in their domestic league or by being eliminated at certain stages of the Champions' Cup. After the last reformations in the European competitions system by LEN, only four teams contesting for the trophy, coming after elimination at that season's LEN Euro League quarterfinals stage. Italy's Gifa Palermo, Ortigia, Racing Roma, Imperia, Russia's Shturm Ruza, and Greece's Ethnikos are the most successful clubs in the competition with two titles each.

Dunaújvárosi Főiskola Vizílabda Egyesület is a Hungarian water polo club from Dunaújváros founded in 1989 in the Dunaújváros College. It is best known for its women's team, which has won eight national championships since 2001. It reached the final of the 2001 Cup Winners' Cup, the 2003 Champions Cup and the 2009 LEN Trophy, but it lost them to SKIF Moscow, Glyfada NSC and Shturm Chekhov respectively. In 2018 Dunaújváros reached the final of the LEN Trophy and finally won their first international title.

The Greek Women's Water Polo A1 League is the premier championship for women's water polo teams in Greece. It was founded in 1988, and it is currently contested by eight teams. Greek League is ranked as one of the top national domestic leagues in European water polo. The champion, the runner-up and the third-placed team qualify for the LEN Euro League.
