Sidhartha Siva (born 5 May 1985) is an Indian film director, producer, actor, screenwriter and lyricist, who works in Malayalam cinema.

Early life

His hometown is Kaviyoor in Kerala. He is the son of filmmaker Kaviyoor Sivaprasad. [1]

Film career

He started his film career by directing telefilms and short films. He then appeared in Malayalam films like Thirakkadha, Ivar Vivahitharayal, Bodyguard, Puthiya Theerangal, Kudumbasree Travels, Artist, Omega.Exe, Rithu, Tejabhaai & Family, Sahasram, Calendar, Sagar Elias Jacky, Radio Jockey, On The Way, Central Theater, Ayaalum Njanum Thammil, Vikramaadhithyan, Love 24 X 7, Kadhantharam , Viswasam Athalle Ellam, Kali, Take Off, Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela, Adam Joan, etc. [2] He won his first National Film Awards at the 60th National Film Awards, he won the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director for his film 101 Chodyangal (2012). [3] [4] [5] The film also won the Silver Crow Pheasant Award for Best Feature Film (Audience Prize) at the 18th International Film Festival of Kerala. 101 Chodyangal also won the best feature film award at Noida international film festival. Siva also won the Mohan Raghavan Award for Best Director, 2013. 101 Chodyangalwas also selected in Indian Panorama section at International Film Festival of India 2013.

In 2014, his film Zahir was screened at 19th Busan International Film Festival. [6]

His film Ain won the best feature film in Malayalam at 62nd National Film Awards. [7] [8] Ain also won the prestigious Padmarajan Puraskaram for Best film and Best script. Ain bagged the Kerala State Film Award for best Story in 2014.

P. Padmarajan was an Indian film maker, screenwriter and author who was known for his landmark work in Malayalam literature and Malayalam cinema. Padmarajan was the founder of a new school of film making in Malayalam cinema, along with Bharathan and K. G. Namukku Parkkan Munthirithoppukal is a 1986 Indian Malayalam-language romance drama film written and directed by Padmarajan based on the 1986 novel Nammukku Gramangalil Chennu Rapparkkam by K. K. Sudhakaran. The film stars Mohanlal, Shari, Thilakan, Vineeth, and Kaviyoor Ponnamma. The music was composed by Johnson. The plot is centered around a Malayali Syrian Christian-Nasrani ("Nazarene") family. Throughout the story, there are references to the Biblical book Song of Songs where it depicts the romantic dialogue between a young woman and her lover.

Joshy Mathew an Indian film director in Malayalam cinema, started his career in 1984 as an assistant to renowned director to P. Padmarajan. In 1992 he made feature debut with Nakshatra Koodaram (1992). Then followed Oru Kadankatha Pole (1993), Rajadhani (1994), Man of the Match (1996), Pathaam Nilayile Theevandy (2009), Upadesiyude Makan (2010), Black Forest (2013) and In a land far away (2018).

Artist is a 2013 Indian Malayalam drama film written and directed by Shyamaprasad. An adaptation of Dreams in Prussian Blue, a paperback novel by Paritosh Uttam, the film is about two fine arts students, both driven by individual ambitions, who decide to live together. The film traces the course of their relationship and their progression as artists. It features Fahadh Faasil playing Michael and Ann Augustine as Gayathri. The supporting cast includes Sreeram Ramachandran, Sidhartha Siva, Srinda Ashab, Krishnachandran and Vanitha along with a host of newcomers. The film was produced by M. Mani under his banner, Sunitha Productions. The music was composed by Bijibal the editing is by Vinod Sukumaran. The film won three major awards at the Kerala State Film Awards: Best Director, Best Actress and Best Actor.

Vannadil Puthiyaveettil "V. P." Krishnakumar is a sound engineer, editor and recordist known mostly for his works in Malayalam films, documentaries and TV series. He has worked with acclaimed film directors including G. Aravindan, Padmarajan, T. V. Chandran and K. P. Kumaran. He specializes in Sync sound—for many of his notable works, audio was recorded live. He has also worked on foreign projects, including a documentary with German documentary filmmaker and director Andreas Voigt. After long stints with Kerala State Film Development Corporation's Chitranjali Studio and Kalabhavan Digital Studios in Thiruvananthapuram, and Kochi, he heads the Department of Sound Recording at Chitranjali Studio, Thiruvananthapuram.
