Sidhartha Siva is an Indian film director, producer, actor, screenwriter and lyricist, who works in Malayalam cinema.

Early life

His hometown is Kaviyoor in Kerala. He is the son of filmmaker Kaviyoor Sivaprasad. [1]

Film career

He started his film career by directing telefilms and short films. He then appeared in Thirakkadha, Ivar Vivahitharayal, Bodyguard, Puthiya Theerangal, Kudumbasree Travels, Artist, Omega.Exe, Rithu, Tejabhaai & Family, Sahasram, Calendar, Sagar Elias Jacky, Radio Jockey, On the Way, Central Theater, Ayaalum Njanum Thammil, Vikramaadhithyan, Love 24 X 7, Kadhantharam , Kali, Take Off, Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela, Adam Joan, etc. [2] He won his first National Film Awards at the 60th National Film Awards, he won the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director for his film 101 Chodyangal (2012). [3] [4] [5] The film also won the Silver Crow Pheasant Award for Best Feature Film (Audience Prize) at the 18th International Film Festival of Kerala. 101 Chodyangal also won the best feature film award at Noida international film festival. Siva also won the Mohan Raghavan Award for Best Director, 2013. 101 Chodyangalwas also selected in Indian Panorama section at International Film Festival of India 2013.[ citation needed ]

In 2014, his film Zahir was screened at 19th Busan International Film Festival. [6]

His film Ain won the best feature film in Malayalam at 62nd National Film Awards. [7] [8] Ain also won the prestigious Padmarajan Puraskaram for Best film and Best script. Ain bagged the Kerala State Film Award for best Story in 2014.[ citation needed ]

Set in a Muslim household in Malabar, the film revolves around a lazy but innocent and vulnerable youth who happens to witness a murder and escapes to Mangalore. The film released in selected theatres in Kerala on 25 September 2015.

<i>Aavasavyuham</i> 2022 Indian Malayalam comedy film by Krishand

Aavasavyuham: The Arbit Documentation of An Amphibian Hunt also more commonly known as Aavasavyuham is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language, comedy-drama science fiction film written and directed by Krishand. The film stars Rahul Rajagopal, Sreenath Babu, Sreejith Babu, Zhinz Shan in the lead roles, Technical crew for the movie is Chief Associate Director Vysakh Reetha,Editing by Rakesh Cherumadam and Cinematography by Vishnu Prabhakar. The approach used to depict the storyline in the film was inspired from Warren Beatty's directorial Reds and Christopher Nolan's directorial Interstellar. The film was streamed via SonyLIV from 4 August 2022 as a LIV originals opening to positive reviews from critics. The film also won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Film in 2021 and Kerala State Film Award for Best Screenplay in 2021. Film critic Anna M. M. Vetticad ranked it third in her year-end list of best Malayalam films of 2022.
