Simon Westaway (born 22 December 1958) is an Australian actor who has appeared in many television series, films and theatre productions.
Westaway studied acting with PBL Workshop and John Gauchi's Theatre Workshop. [1]
Westaway has featured in numerous films and television series since the mid-1980s. His most notable roles are as Sergeant Peter 'Noddy' Faithful in the crime drama series Phoenix , and its legal drama spin-off Janus , as well as portraying Domenic "Mick" Gatto in the first season of crime series Underbelly (which won him critical acclaim) and its sequel in 2014, Fat Tony & Co. . He also narrated Seven Network reality series Surf Patrol .
He has also appeared on stage, including touring productions of The Rocky Horror Show (1987–1988) and The Man from Snowy River: Arena Spectacular (2002). [2]
Westaway is a voiceover artist for the Seven Network. He has also provided the voiceover in television commercials such as Qantas, American Express, Aerogard and Toyota Prius, as well as the Foster's beer commercials in the US ("Foster's. Australian for beer"). [3]
He competed on Celebrity MasterChef Australia in 2009.
Westaway has three children – Jackson, Bella and Ruben.
He spent time in rehab for alcoholism and a prescription Xanax blackout, following his split and subsequent divorce from wife Diane, in 2009. [4]

Phoenix is a Logie Award-winning Australian crime drama television series broadcast by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation from 1992 to 1993. It was created by Alison Nisselle and Tony McDonald.

The first series of Australian crime television drama series Underbelly originally aired from 13 February 2008 to 7 May 2008 on the Nine Network and is loosely based on the real events of the 1995–2004 gangland war in Melbourne. The series is based on the book Leadbelly: Inside Australia's Underworld, by journalists John Silvester and Andrew Rule, and borrows its name from the successful Underbelly true crime anthology book series also authored by Silvester and Rule. An alternative and significantly updated tie-in novel, Underbelly: The Gangland War, was released as their 13th book in the series.
