The foreign relations of Finland are the responsibility of the president of Finland, who leads foreign policy in cooperation with the government. Implicitly the government is responsible for internal policy and decision making in the European Union. Within the government, preparative discussions are conducted in the government committee of foreign and security policy, which includes the Prime Minister and at least the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Defence, and at most four other ministers as necessary. The committee meets with the President as necessary. Laws concerning foreign relations are discussed in the parliamentary committee of foreign relations. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs implements the foreign policy.
Jari Pekka Olavi Vilén is a Finnish diplomat and a politician. Mr. Vilén served in the Finnish Parliament, representing the National Coalition Party and the district of Lapland from 1999–2007.
The Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH) is a parastatal organization affiliated with the government of Tanzania. It was created by an Act of the National Assembly of Tanzania in 1986 as a successor to the Tanzania National Scientific Research Council. Riitta Hannele Resch is a Finnish diplomat. She is a leading expert at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Humanitarian Aid and Policy Unit. Resch worked as an ambassador in Manila from 2004 to 2008. She started working at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1982.
Kari Juhani Karanko was a Finnish diplomat. He was Master of Science (Economics) by education. He was Finnish Ambassador to Dar es Salaam from 1988 to 1993 and then the Development Counselor of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. He was Finnish ambassador to Windhoek (Namibia) from 1998 to 2000. From there, Karanko had to return to Finland because he had criticized the Namibian government because it had taken part in the Second Congo War. After that, he was the head of the Department for International Environmental Policy at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. From 2006 to 2007, Karanko was Finnish Ambassador to Kathmandu.
Päivi Marjatta Hiltunen-Toivio is a Finnish lawyer and diplomat. She was Finnish Ambassador to Jakarta. She has been in charge from 15 August 2014 to 2018. She started with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1979.
Pirkko-Liisa Kyöstilä is a Finnish diplomat. She is the Finnish Ambassador and Chief of the Finnish Liaison Office to Ramallah from September 1, 2014. She started working at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1987.

Hoyce Anderson Temu is a Tanzanian diplomat, journalist, public relations professional and former beauty queen, who was appointed as the deputy head of mission at Tanzania's Embassy in Geneva, Switzerland, on 23 May 2021. She took up her position in August 2021.
