The Solent Devils are a professional English ice hockey team based in Gosport, Hampshire. They are members of the NIHL South Division 1. They play their games at Gosport Ice Arena. Alexander Cole is currently the captain and Alex Murray is the head coach. They are most renowned for winning the 2011/12 title with 5 games to spare.
The Devils were founded in 2003 (Solent & Gosport Sharks 2003-2007, Solent & Gosport Devils 2007-2014, Solent Devils 2014-present).

The Solent is a strait between the Isle of Wight and Great Britain. It is about 20 miles long and varies in width between 2+1⁄2 and 5 mi, although the Hurst Spit which projects 1+1⁄2 mi (2.4 km) into the Solent narrows the sea crossing between Hurst Castle and Colwell Bay to just over 1 mi (1.6 km).
Fareham is a market town at the north-west tip of Portsmouth Harbour, between the cities of Portsmouth and Southampton in south east Hampshire, England. It gives its name to the Borough of Fareham. It was historically an important manufacturer of bricks, used to build the Royal Albert Hall, and grower of strawberries and other seasonal fruits. Current employers include Fareham Shopping Centre, small-scale manufacturers, HMS Collingwood and the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory.
Gosport is a town and non-metropolitan borough on the south coast of Hampshire, South East England. At the 2011 Census, its population was 82,662. Gosport is situated on a peninsula on the western side of Portsmouth Harbour, opposite the city of Portsmouth, to which it is linked by the Gosport Ferry. Gosport lies south-east of Fareham, to which it is linked by a Bus Rapid Transit route and the A32. Until the last quarter of the 20th century, Gosport was a major naval town associated with the defence and supply infrastructure of Her Majesty's Naval Base (HMNB) Portsmouth. As such over the years extensive fortifications were created.
The Wessex Football League is an English association football league formed in 1986, with its premier division currently at the fifth step of the National League System, or the ninth tier of the overall English football league system. The participating clubs are mainly based in Hampshire and Dorset but the league also encompasses clubs from adjoining counties such as Wiltshire, Berkshire, and the Isle of Wight.
Lee-on-the-Solent, often referred to as Lee-on-Solent, is a seaside district of the Borough of Gosport in Hampshire, England, about five miles (8 km) west of Portsmouth. The area is located on the coast of the Solent. It is primarily a residential area, with an upsurge of mostly local visitors in summer, but was also the former home to the Royal Naval Air Station HMS Daedalus.
The Sheffield Steelers are a professional ice hockey team located in Sheffield, England. They were formed in 1991 and play their home games at the Utilita Arena. They are currently a member of the Elite Ice Hockey League. The club's main (title) sponsor is Sheffield Window Centre.
South Hampshire is a term used mainly to refer to the conurbation formed by the city of Portsmouth, city of Southampton and the non-metropolitan boroughs of Gosport, Fareham, Havant and Eastleigh in southern Hampshire, South East England. The area was estimated to have a population of over 1.5 million in 2013. It is the most populated part of South East England, excluding London. The area is sometimes referred to as Solent City particularly in relation to local devolution, but the term is controversial.

Stokes BaySZ 590 980) is an area of the Solent that lies just south of Gosport, between Portsmouth and Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire. There is a shingle beach with views of Ryde and East Cowes on the Isle of Wight to the south and Fawley to the south west. The settlement of Alverstoke is close by.
Slough Jets are an ice hockey team from Slough, Berkshire, England playing in the NIHL South Division 1. The team was founded in 1986 after the construction of the Slough Ice Arena in Montem Lane in Slough and joined the first division of the British League. With the help of Gary Stefan who had previously been with Streatham Redskins, the Slough Jets were formed.

Gosport railway station was a terminus station designed by William Tite and opened to passenger and freight trains in 1841 by the London and South Western Railway (LSWR). It was closed in 1953 to passenger trains, and in 1969 to the remaining freight services. It is a Grade II* listed building.
MV Spirit of Gosport is a vessel owned by the Gosport Ferry Company Ltd and built by Abels Shipbuilders in Bristol.
Sundance is a charter vessel owned by Capital Pleasure Boats and operating on the River Thames. Former names are Gay Enterprise and Solent Enterprise.
The Gosport Ferry is a ferry service for pedestrians and cyclists operating between Gosport and Portsmouth in Hampshire, southern England. It is currently operated by Gosport Ferry Ltd, a subsidiary of the Portsmouth Harbour Ferry Company Ltd, itself a wholly owned subsidiary of FIH group plc.
The Bristol Pitbulls are an ice hockey team representing Bristol, England, currently playing in the NIHL National League. Following the closure of the Bristol ice rink in 2012, their home ice moved to Oxford Ice Rink. In October 2021, the team returned to Bristol, winning their first fixture on their new home ice at the Planet Ice rink at Cribbs Causeway.
Premier Marinas Limited, owned by the Wellcome Trust, is based in Hampshire. It owns and manages nine coastal marinas and boatyards in England. Premier’s marinas are situated on the south coast at Falmouth in Cornwall; Noss on Dart in Dartmouth; Swanwick, Gosport, Port Solent and Southsea in Hampshire; and Chichester, Brighton and Eastbourne in Sussex. Premier Marinas’ core business is the ownership, management and development of these marina sites, including the provision of wet and dry berthing and boatyard services to leisure yachts and motorboats. The company hosts boat shows, including an annual boat show that has been occurring for over thirty years.
Southampton Spitfires are an English university ice hockey and inline hockey club with teams that play in the British Universities Ice Hockey Association leagues: Division 1 (checking) South, Division 2 (checking) South and Division 1 (non-checking) and the British Roller Hockey Association league. The Spitfires Ice A team play their home games at Basingstoke Arena, the Spitfires Ice B and C team play their home games at Gosport Arena or Basingstoke Arena. The Spitfires Inline A and B team play their games at Solent Arena although the Inline B team does not currently play in league games. Due to the nature of the sport in the UK, the current rosters include players from; Southampton University, Southampton Solent University, University of Portsmouth, Chichester University and Bournemouth University.
The Solent-class lifeboat is a steel-hulled version of the 48-foot-6-inch (14.78 m) Oakley-class self-righting lifeboat and is sometimes referred to as the 48-foot, 6-inch Oakley-class Mark III. Solent Operational Numbers followed on from the first three 48-foot, 6-inch Oakleys and were interrupted by the last two Oakleys. The operational numbers of the Solent-class had three digits in the suffix to indicate a metal hull. Two digits indicates a wooden, glass-reinforced plastic or fiber-reinforced composite hull.
The Solent Devils 2 are an amateur ice hockey team based in Gosport, Hampshire. They currently play in the NIHL 2 South West Division. The Solent Devils 2 are a minor league affiliate of the Solent Devils of the NIHL 1 South Division.
