The Dundee Rockets are an ice hockey club based in Dundee, Scotland. Founded in 1963, the club were members of the Northern League between 1969 and 1982 and, from 1982, the British Hockey League. The club won eight titles in total before closing in 1987. [1] In 2024, it was announced that the Dundee Rockets would reform after 37 years. [2]
In 1963, the Dundee Rockets were founded. They took on the Tigers home ice and colours, although they wore a yellow and black strip in the mid to late 1960s. The head coach from 1969 to 1971 was Marshall Key. The Rockets won the Northern League in 1972-73 and 1981–82, the Scottish National League in 1981–82, and the British Championship in 1982. From 1983 to 1987 the Rockets played in the British Hockey League Premier Division, winning the league in 1982-83 (Section A) and 1983–84. They won the Heineken Championship in 1983 and 1984, and the Bluecol Autumn Cup in 1983–84.
On 26 June 2024, Dundee Rockets announced their return with their intention to play as part of the 2024-25 Scottish National League. [2]

CSKA was a Bulgarian sports society from Sofia, Bulgaria. CSKA stands for Central Sports Club of the Army. It was founded on 5 May 1948 as Septemvri pri CDV, after the unification of the two sports clubs from the city, Chavdar and Septemvri. Since then, the club changed its name several times before settling on CSKA in 1989.

Anthony Hand MBE is a Scottish former ice hockey player and coach. He was the first British player to be drafted by an NHL team when he was picked by the Edmonton Oilers in 1986.
HC CSKA Moscow is a Russian professional ice hockey club based in Moscow. The club is a member of the Tarasov Division in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). It is referred to in the West as "Central Red Army" or the "Red Army Team" for its affiliation with the Soviet Army, known as the Red Army until 1946, and the Russian Armed Forces. HC Dukla Jihlava, founded in 1956, is an ice hockey team in the Czech Republic. It won the Czechoslovak Extraliga title 12 times: six consecutive championships beginning in 1967, then in 1974, four consecutive championships beginning in 1982, and again in 1991. As of 2019, HC Dukla Jihlava plays in the Czech 1. liga after being relegated from the Czech Extraliga in 2017–18.
Hockey Club Slovan Bratislava is a professional ice hockey club based in Bratislava, Slovakia. In 2012, it left the Slovak Extraliga and joined the international Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). In 2019, it returned to the Tipos Extraliga. The club has won nine Slovak championships, one Czechoslovak championship (1979) and one IIHF Continental Cup (2004), making it the second most successful hockey club in Slovak history after their biggest rival HC Košice. The team plays its home games at Ondrej Nepela Arena, also known as Slovnaft Arena. The team is nicknamed Belasí, which means the "sky blues" in English.
Blackpool Seagulls are an English ice hockey team, founded in 1951, who played at the Pleasure Beach Ice Rink, Blackpool. They folded in 1993.
The Ridge Meadows Flames are a Junior "A" ice hockey team based in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. They are members of the Harold Brittain Conference of the Pacific Junior Hockey League (PJHL). The Flames play their home games at Planet Ice Maple Ridge. Blaine Hallman is the director of Hockey Operations. Derek Bedard serves as the team's General Manager and Governor. Former NHL player, Brent Hughes is the Head Coach. Mike Legg, Brett Sonne and Bobby Vermette serve as the Assistant Coaches. Mackenzie Skapski and Jeff Smith are the Goalie Coaches. Their Goal judge is community favourite Stevie Crook.
The Western International Hockey League (WIHL) was a senior level ice hockey league that featured teams from the Western United States and Western Canada. It operated from 1946–62 and 1963–88. It grew out of the West Kootenay League, which operated in southeast British Columbia from the 1920s.
Roy Andrew Halpin is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey forward who played mostly in the United Kingdom. He was inducted into the British Ice Hockey Hall of Fame in 1986. Halpin is currently the Executive Director of the Uniprix Stadium in Montreal.
Ronnie Wood is a retired Scottish professional ice hockey player who played between 1980 and 1993 in the United Kingdom. He is credited, with David Gardner-Brown, for creating the Sheffield Steelers in 1991, for whom he was also the General Manager between 1991 and February 1993.

Buckie Rovers Football Club are a Scottish football club from the town of Buckie, Moray. After a period abeyance during the 2021–22 season due to organisational difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in Scotland, the club folded in September 2022. In July 2023 the club restarted and are entered into the Moray and district Welfare League with a view to returning to the junior setup in a couple years time after a rebuilding period.
The 1981-82 Northern League season was the 16th and last season of the Northern League, the top level ice hockey league in northern England and Scotland. Eight teams participated in the league, and the Dundee Rockets won the championship. The top four teams qualified for the Spring Cup, which served as the Northern League playoffs. The top two teams, the Dundee Rockets and the Murrayfield Racers, qualified for the British Championship.
The 1972–73 British Ice Hockey season featured the Northern League for teams from Scotland and the north of England and the Southern League for teams from the rest of England.
