The Richmond Flyers were an ice hockey team who were founded in 1977 as the London Phoenix Flyers, changing their name to Richmond Flyers in 1980. They competed in the Inter-City League between 1980 and 1982, the British Hockey League between 1982 and 1989, and the English League between 1989 and 1991.

The club ceased to exist from 1992 when their home ice rink, Richmond Ice Rink, was demolished to make way for flats overlooking the River Thames.

Manchester Phoenix was a semi professional ice hockey team from Greater Manchester, England. The club was formed in 2003 as a result of the efforts of supporters group Friends of Manchester Ice Hockey to bring top-level ice hockey back to Manchester after Manchester Storm folded in 2002.

The Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), sometimes referred to as the British Elite League or, for sponsorship reasons, the Premier Sports Elite League, is an ice hockey league in the United Kingdom. Formed in 2003 following the demise of the Ice Hockey Superleague, it is the highest level of ice hockey competition in the United Kingdom. The league operate three competitions for members; the play-offs determine the national champion, following a regular season league competition for which separate champions are also crowned. Finally, a stand-alone cup competition, the Challenge Cup, is also held annually, beginning with the group stages followed by a knock-out format.

The British Hockey League was the top-flight ice hockey league in the United Kingdom from 1980 until 1996, when it was replaced by the Ice Hockey Superleague and the British National League. The league replaced three regional leagues: the Inter-City League in southern England, the English League North in northern England and the Northern League in Scotland.

Gregory Charles Adams is a former Canadian professional ice hockey forward who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1980 to 1990.

Solihull Barons

Solihull Barons are an English ice hockey team from the town of Solihull who play at Solihull Ice Rink on Hobs Moat Road. The current team, which is the third incarnation of the Barons, was formed in 2005; they are named after the original team of the same name who were formed in 1965, and played at the same ice rink between 1972 until 2000; when they moved to Coventry and became Coventry Blaze.

Michel Petit Canadian ice hockey player

Michel Petit is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) from the 1982–83 NHL season to the 1998–99 NHL season. Upon his retirement Petit had played for a then-NHL record ten different teams, a mark has since been surpassed by Mike Sillinger.

The Inter-City League, also known as the English League South, was the top-flight ice hockey league in southern England from 1978, when it alongside the English League North replaced the Southern League. In 1982, it was replaced by the British Hockey League, running on a national basis.

The Scottish National League was the first ice hockey league in Scotland. It was founded in 1932 by five teams from a single ice rink in Glasgow. The league gradually expanded to encompass teams from many areas of Scotland. It was suspended during the Second World War, but returned in 1946, and for the 1947/8 season was split into two divisions. These reunited the following season, and in 1954 the league merged with the English National League to form the British National League.

Flyers Cup

The Flyers Cup is an annual high school ice hockey tournament held by the Philadelphia Flyers. The first Flyers Cup was organized by the Flyers' Hockey Central organization in 1980, sponsored by the Pepsi Cola Bottlers of the Delaware Valley. It was held at the University of Pennsylvania's Class of '23 Rink until relocating to the Haverford Skatium in 1984.

Wembley Monarchs

The Wembley Monarchs were an ice hockey team in the United Kingdom. They were founded in 1929 as the Grosvenor House Canadians, transferred to Wembley Canadians for the 1934–35 season and became the Monarchs in 1936. The team played in the English League 1931–35, 1936–37 and in the English National League 1935–36, 1937–50.

The Ayr Bruins were an ice hockey club based in Ayr, Scotland between 1939 and 1992. Established in 1939 under the name Ayr Raiders, the club played their home games at the Ayr Ice Rink between 1939 and 1972 and at Ayr Ice Rink between 1974 and 1991.

Blackpool Seagulls

Blackpool Seagulls are an English ice hockey team, founded in 1951, who played at the Pleasure Beach Ice Rink, Blackpool. They folded in 1993.

Jack "Jackie" Dryburgh was a Scottish ice hockey player and coach and administrator. Born in Kirkcaldy, he played for various clubs in Scotland and England during the 1950s and 1960s as well as coaching in Aviemore and Solihull. He was a member of the British Ice Hockey Association and was inducted into the British Ice Hockey Hall of Fame in 1991. He was latterly the manager of Dundee Ice Arena.

The 1984–85 British Hockey League season was the third season of the British Hockey League. The membership of the Premier League was increased to ten with the inclusion of the Southampton Vikings. Promotion and relegation was also introduced between the Premier League and the First Division.

Ronnie Wood is a retired Scottish professional ice hockey player who played between 1980 and 1993 in the United Kingdom. He is credited, with David Gardner-Brown, for creating the Sheffield Steelers in 1991, for whom he was also the General Manager between 1991 and February 1993.

The Philadelphia Junior Flyers are a USA Hockey-sanctioned Tier III Junior A ice hockey team from West Chester, Pennsylvania. They play in the South Conference of the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Premier (EHLP) at the Ice Line Quad Rinks

Ayr Ice Rink was an ice arena in Ayr, Scotland that opened in 1939 and was used for ice skating, ice hockey and curling. The rink was notable as being the home of professional ice hockey clubs Ayr Raiders and Ayr Bruins.

Richmond Ice Rink was an ice skating rink at Clevedon Road, Twickenham, formerly in Middlesex and now in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. When it opened, in 1928, it had the longest ice surface in any indoor rink in the world and it soon became the premier rink in London. The rink closed in 1992 and the building was demolished.

The 1964–65 British Ice Hockey season featured a Scottish League but there was no league structure in England for the fifth consecutive year. Durham Wasps competed in the Scottish League.
