Girls on Top is the fifth Korean studio album by South Korean recording artist BoA, released through SM Entertainment on June 23, 2005. A repackage of the album, titled Moto, was released on August 17, 2005. The record saw a continuation of BoA's image change that began with her prior album My Name (2004); Girls on Top sought to portray a "mature and self-confident" image with themes expressing female empowerment. In Japan, a special edition of the album including a DVD was released by Avex Trax on March 26, 2008.

"Fire" is the debut single by South Korean girl group 2NE1. YG Entertainment released the song to digital outlets on May 6, 2009, as the lead single for the group's self-titled debut extended play (2009). Despite the group having appeared alongside labelmate Big Bang for the promotional single "Lollipop" in March 2009, "Fire" served as 2NE1's official debut. The song nevertheless became a hit on all Korean charts following its release.

"Wanna" is a song by South Korean girl group Kara from their second studio album, Revolution (2009). It was released as the album's lead single on July 28, 2009. Various news agencies predicted that it would become their third hit, after "Pretty Girl" and "Honey". Upon release, "Wanna" immediately charted on various digital music charts and went on to become the group's third number-one hit. A month after its release, the song won the "Mutizen Song" award from SBS's Inkigayo music program.

They released their debut single I Want You Back October 2009. Secret's debut single did not meet great success and it was not until the following year that the group saw a rise in popularity. "Kill Bill" (Korean: 킬빌) is a song recorded by South Korean girl group Brown Eyed Girls for their fifth studio album Black Box (2013). Named after the eponymous martial arts films by American director Quentin Tarantino, the electro-pop song was written by the group's long time lyricist Kim Eana and Miryo, while member JeA composed and arranged the song under the moniker Candy Sound. Accompanied with a seven-minute long music video that paid homage to the plot of the inspired film, it was released as the second and final single from Black Box on July 29, 2013 by Nega Network and LOEN Entertainment, to coincide with its parental album release.

LDN Noise is a British songwriting and record production duo based in London, England. Consisting of songwriter Greg Bonnick and DJ Hayden Chapman, the duo has worked with artists such as Nathan Sykes, Nick Jonas and Chris Brown since 2012, most notably having co-written the 2012's number-one UK hit "Turn Up the Music" for the latter artist.
