North Korea, officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), is a country in East Asia. It constitutes the northern half of the Korean Peninsula and shares borders with China and Russia to the north, at the Yalu (Amnok) and Tumen rivers, and South Korea to the south at the Korean Demilitarized Zone. The country's western border is formed by the Yellow Sea, while its eastern border is defined by the Sea of Japan. North Korea, like its southern counterpart, claims to be the legitimate government of the entire peninsula and adjacent islands. Pyongyang is the capital and largest city.
Douglas MacArthur was an American military leader who served as General of the Army for the United States, as well as a field marshal to the Philippine Army. He was Chief of Staff of the United States Army during the 1930s, and he played a prominent role in the Pacific theater during World War II. MacArthur received the Medal of Honor for his service in the Philippines campaign. This made him along with his father Arthur MacArthur Jr. the first father and son to be awarded the medal. He was one of only five to rise to the rank of General of the Army in the U.S. Army, and the only one conferred the rank of field marshal in the Philippine Army.
Yonhap News Agency is a major South Korean news agency. It is based in Seoul, South Korea. Yonhap provides news articles, pictures and other information to newspapers, TV networks and other media in South Korea.
Juche, officially the Juche idea, is the state ideology of North Korea. North Korean sources attribute its conceptualization to Kim Il-sung, the country's founder and first leader. Juche was originally regarded as a variant of Marxism–Leninism until Kim Jong-il, Kim Il-sung's son and successor, declared it a distinct ideology in the 1970s. Kim Jong-il further developed Juche in the 1980s and 1990s by making ideological breaks from Marxism–Leninism and increasing the importance of his father's ideas.
The Korea Times is the oldest of three English-language newspapers published daily in South Korea. It is a sister paper of the Hankook Ilbo, a major Korean language daily; both are owned by Dongwha Enterprise, a wood-based manufacturer. Since the late 1950s, it had been published by the Hankook Ilbo Media Group, but following an embezzlement scandal in 2013–2014 it was sold to Dongwha Group, which also acquired Hankook Ilbo. The president-publisher of The Korea Times is Oh Young-jin.
The South Korea national football team represents South Korea in men's international football and is governed by the Korea Football Association. South Korea has developed and emerged as a major football power in Asia since the 1980s and is historically the most successful Asian football team, having participated in nine consecutive and ten overall FIFA World Cup tournaments, the most for any Asian country. Despite initially going through five World Cup tournaments without winning a match, South Korea became the only Asian team to reach the semi-final stages when they co-hosted the 2002 tournament with Japan. South Korea also won two AFC Asian Cup titles, and finished as runners-up on four occasions. Furthermore, the team won three gold medals and three silver medals at the senior Asian Games. The team is commonly nicknamed the "Reds" by both fans and the media due to the color of their primary kit. The national team's supporting group is officially referred to as the Red Devils.

Jeon Mi-seon was a South Korean actress. Though best known as a supporting actress in films and television series such as Memories of Murder (2003), Moon Embracing the Sun (2012), and Hide and Seek (2013), Jeon Mi-seon also played the leading role in Love Is a Crazy Thing (2005).
The Jangchung Arena (Korean: 장충체육관) is an indoor sporting arena located in Jung District, Seoul, South Korea. Volleyball teams GS Caltex Seoul KIXX and Seoul Woori Card WooriWON are the tenants.
Kim Ho-kon is a South Korean football manager and former football player who played as a sweeper or right back. He was the captain of the South Korea national football team in the 1978 Asian Games where they won the gold medal. He also managed Ulsan Hyundai from 2009 to 2013, and was noted for his attractive tactics, nicknamed the "Iron mace football" by showing a mortal blow during the defensive play. In 2012, he won the 2012 AFC Champions League, and was named the Asian Coach of the Year. However, he resigned from the team after came a close second in the 2013 K League 1.
Kim Bong-Soo is a South Korean former footballer and football coach who played for FC Seoul then known as LG Cheetahs and Anyang LG Cheetahs, Ulsan Hyundai Horang-i and Chunnam Dragons. Kim was a member of South Korea of 1998 FIFA World Cup qualification.
Ilgan Sports is a South Korean daily sports and entertainment newspaper founded in 1969. Formerly under Hankook Ilbo, it is now owned by the JoongAng Media Network through JTBC Plus.

Park Hee-soon is a South Korean actor. He graduated with a Theater degree from Seoul Institute of the Arts, and was a member of the Mokwha Repertory Company from 1990 to 2001. He became active in film beginning 2002, and won several Best Supporting Actor awards for his portrayal of a tough cop in Seven Days (2007). He received further acting recognitions for his roles in the films The Scam (2009) and 1987: When the Day Comes (2017). Apart from his film career, Park starred in television series All About My Romance (2013), The Missing (2015), Beautiful World (2019), and My Name (2021), the lattermost of which brought him international attention.
Equatorial Guinea–North Korea relations refers to the current and historical relationship between Equatorial Guinea and North Korea. While Equatorial Guinea has no representation in North Korea, it is one of few African states to have a North Korean embassy, located in the capital of Malabo.
Lee Doo-yong is a South Korean film director. Since his debut in 1969 with the film The Lost Wedding Veil (1970), Lee has made more than 60 films in a wide array of genres. In the 1970s, he introduced Korean-style action films, including The Korean Connection (1974) and Left Foot of Wrath (1974). His film Mulleya Mulleya (1984) created great controversy in the Korean media as well as in the West, due to the graphic portrayal of a woman's subjugated life during the Yi Dynasty.

Kim Kum-sil is a North Korean politician and former women's international footballer; she played as a midfielder. She was a member of the North Korea women's national football team. She was part of the team at the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup. She holds the title of Merited Athlete.
Lee Gwang-jin is a South Korean badminton player. He competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics, 1992 Summer Olympics and the 1996 Summer Olympics.
