The Korean War was a war between North Korea and South Korea. The war began on 25 June 1950 when North Korea invaded South Korea.
North Korea, officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, is a country in East Asia constituting the northern part of the Korean Peninsula. The country is bordered to the north by China and by Russia along the Amnok and Tumen rivers, and to the south by South Korea, with the heavily fortified Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) separating the two. Kim Jong-il or Kim Jong Il was a North Korean politician who served as the second Supreme Leader of North Korea from 1994 to 2011. He led North Korea from the 1994 death of his father Kim Il-sung, North Korea’s first Supreme Leader, until his own death in 2011, when he was succeeded by his son, Kim Jong-un.

The Korea Republic national football team represents Korea Republic in men's international football and is governed by the Korea Football Association. Suwon Samsung Bluewings is a South Korean football club based in Suwon, South Korea, that plays in the K League 1. Founded in December 1995, they have won the national championship on four occasions, and the Asian Club Championship twice.
Seongnam FC is a South Korean professional football club based in Seongnam, South Korea. Seongnam plays in the K League 1, the top division in South Korea. The Ulsan Hyundai Football Club is a South Korean professional football club based in Ulsan, owned by the South Korean corporation Hyundai Heavy Industries. Established on 6 December 1983, they joined the K League in 1984 as Hyundai Horang-i. The home ground of the team is Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium.
Jeonnam Dragons is a professional football/ soccer club based in the city of Gwangyang, South Jeolla Province, South Korea, that currently plays in K League 2, the second tier of Korean football. Jeonnam play at the Gwangyang Football Stadium, nicknamed the “Dragon Dungeon”, one of the first football-specific stadiums built in South Korea. The Dragons have won the FA Cup three times in 1997, 2006, and 2007, the Asian Cup Winners’ Cup in 1999, and have finished runner up in the league once, in 1997. The club’s color is yellow, matching the dragon on the club’s crest. .
Pak Se-ri or Se-ri Pak is a South Korean former professional golfer, who played on the LPGA Tour from 1998 to 2016. She was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2007.

Kim Jong-un or Kim Jong Un is a North Korean politician serving as Supreme Leader of North Korea since 2011 and the leader of the Workers' Party of Korea since 2012. He is the second child of Kim Jong-il (1941–2011), who was North Korea's second Supreme Leader from 1994 to 2011, and Ko Yong-hui (1952–2004). He is the grandson of Kim Il-sung, who was the founder and first supreme leader of North Korea from its establishment in 1948 until his death in 1994.
