The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is a cricket organisation which was established in 1983, to promote and develop the sport of cricket in Asia. Subordinate to the International Cricket Council, the council is the continent's regional administrative body, and currently consists of 24 member associations. Jay Shah is the current president of Asian Cricket Council.
The Bangladesh men's national cricket team, popularly known as The Tigers, is administered by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). The India national under-23 football team represents India in international under-23 football and is controlled by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). A member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the team is eligible to compete in the Summer Olympic Games, the AFC U-23 Asian Cup, and the Asian Games, subject to qualification.

Bangladesh competed at the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan from 17 to 27 September. Bangladesh sent 11 competitors for the multi-sport event and the nation finished the competition without receiving any medals.
Men's cricket at the 2019 South Asian Games was held in Kirtipur, Nepal from 3 to 9 December 2019. The men's tournament featured under-23 squads from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and senior squads from Bhutan, Maldives and Nepal. India and Pakistan did not participate.
