Bangladesh participated in the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea from 19 September to 4 October 2014. A total of 137 athletes from Bangladesh participated in 14 sports. [1]

Men

All members of the Bangladesh men's cricket team have played for the Bangladesh national cricket team in 2014. Shohag Gazi and Al-Amin Hossain were initially named in the squad but were omitted after being reported for an illegal bowling action in September 2014, they were replaced by Shakib Al Hasan and Rubel Hossain respectively. <span class="mw-page-title-main">Pakistan at the 2014 Asian Games</span> Sporting event delegation

Pakistan competed at the 2014 Asian Games held in Incheon, South Korea between 19 September and 5 October 2014. It sent 182 athletes to compete in 23 sports. It was defending its title in hockey (men's), squash and cricket (women's) but successfully managed to defend the women's cricket title only.

The Zimbabwe cricket team toured Bangladesh from 26 October to 1 December 2014. The tour consisted of three Test matches and five One Day International matches. Bangladesh won the Test series 3–0 and the ODI series 5–0.

The Afghanistan cricket team toured Bangladesh in September and October 2016 to play three One Day Internationals (ODIs) matches. This was Afghanistan's first full series against a Test-playing side other than Zimbabwe and was the first bilateral series between the two sides. It was also Bangladesh's first home bilateral ODI series against an Associate Nation since Ireland toured in 2008. Ahead of the ODI series there was a fifty-over warm-up game between the Bangladesh Cricket Board XI and Afghanistan in Fatullah.

The Sri Lanka cricket team toured Bangladesh in January and February 2018 to play two Tests and two Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. Prior to the tour, both teams played in a tri-series, along with Zimbabwe.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2017–18 Bangladesh Premier League</span> Cricket Tournament

The Bangladesh Premier League 2017, also known as BPL Season 5 or AKS BPL 2017 Powered by Shah Cement, was the fifth season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the top level professional Twenty20 cricket franchise league in Bangladesh. The competition was organised by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and features seven teams from seven different cities. The season began on 4 November, and ended on 12 December 2017, with the defending champion, Dhaka Dynamites played against newbies Sylhet Sixers in the first game at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2017–18 Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series</span> International cricket tournament

The 2017–18 Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series was a cricket tournament that took place in January 2018. It was a tri-nation series between Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, with all the matches played as One Day Internationals (ODIs). The Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium hosted all the matches, with each fixture starting at noon. The second ODI was the 100th to be played at the venue and in the third match, Bangladesh recorded their biggest win in ODIs, beating Sri Lanka by 163 runs.

Bangladesh competed at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, from 18 August to 2 September 2018. A total of 117 athletes from Bangladesh participating in 14 sports.

The 2019 Bangladesh Premier League Final was a day/night Twenty20 cricket match played between Comilla Victorians and Dhaka Dynamites on 8 February 2019 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka to determine the winner of the 2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League, a professional Twenty20 cricket league in Bangladesh. It ended as Comilla Victorians defeating Dhaka Dynamites by 17 runs.

The 2019–20 Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series was a cricket tournament that took place in September 2019. It was a tri-nation series between Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe with all the matches played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League</span> Cricket tournament

The 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League was the first edition of the Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League, a Twenty20 cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. It started on 25 February 2019 and concluded on 4 March 2019. The tournament took place directly before the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, and features the same twelve teams. The final of the competition was played as a night game at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

The Bangladesh national cricket team has appeared in each Cricket World Cup since their first appearance at the 1999 Cricket World Cup as an associate team which was mainly held in England. Bangladesh's highest achievements in World Cup are reaching the Super Eight stage in the 2007 Cricket World Cup and the Quarter-Final of the 2015 Cricket World Cup.

The Sri Lanka cricket team toured Bangladesh in May 2021 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches. All of the matches took place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. Originally, the tour was scheduled to take place in December 2020. The Sri Lankan cricket team arrived in Bangladesh on 16 May 2021, following their two-match Test series in Sri Lanka.

The Pakistan cricket team toured Bangladesh in November and December 2021 to play two Test and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The Test series was part of the 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship. The fixtures for the tour were confirmed in September 2021. Pakistan last toured Bangladesh in April and May 2015.

The 2013–14 Victory Day T20 Cup was a Twenty20 cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. It was played by four teams, during December 2013. Four Dhaka Premier League teams took part in a lottery to determine who picked one each of the Yellow, Blue, Green and Red teams. Announcing the schedule of the tournament at a press conference on 21 December, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed that four teams would participate in the T20 series and AMBER Group would be the title sponsors of the event.
