Bangladesh national kabaddi team won the bronze medal at the 2006 Asian Games. In 1980, Bangladesh became the runners-up in the first Asian Kabaddi Championship and India emerged as the champion. Bangladesh became runners-up again in the next Asian Kabaddi Championship held in 1988 at Jaipur, India. [1] Kabaddi is the national sport of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation's (BKF) president Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun and General secretary Habibur Rahman is maintaining the National kabaddi team. [2] [3] [4] [5]

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party is a major political party in Bangladesh. Ziaur Rahman, the sixth president of Bangladesh, was assassinated by a faction of officers of Bangladesh Army, on 30 May 1981, in the south-eastern port city of Chittagong. Rahman went to Chittagong to arbitrate in a clash between the local leaders of his political party, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. On the night of 30 May, a group of officers commandeered the Chittagong Circuit House, a government residence where Rahman was staying, shooting him and several others.

Z Force, also known as Tura Brigade, was the first military brigade of Bangladesh Forces formed during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971 under Major Ziaur Rahman along with the consent of the revolutionary government of Bangladesh in exile. The brigade was formed with the 1st, 3rd and 8th Battalion of East Bengal Regiment on 7 July 1971. It is the first ever complete brigade formed during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971.

The 2019–20 Federation Cup, also known as TVS Federation Cup 2019, was 31st edition of the tournament, the main domestic annual club football competition in Bangladesh organized by Bangladesh Football Federation. The 13 participants will compete for the tournament. The winner of the tournament will earn the slot of playing preliminary round of 2021 AFC Cup.

Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation is the national federation for Kabaddi and is responsible for governing the sport in Bangladesh. Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, Director General of Rapid Action Battalion, is the President of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation and General secretary is Addl. IGP of Bangladesh Police Habibur Rahman. DIG of police Mozammel Haque is the joint secretary of the current committee.

The 2020–21 Bangladesh Premier League was the 13th season of the Bangladesh Premier League since its establishment in 2007. A total of 13 football clubs are competing in the league. The country's top-flight football competition, Bangladesh Premier League 2020–21 season is kicked off on January 13 after 10 months.

The players' draft for the 2022–23 Bangladesh Premier League took place on 23 November 2022 at Le Meridian Hotel in Dhaka.
