2014 Asian Games 17th edition of the Asian Games

The 2014 Asian Games, officially known as the 17th Asian Games, was a pan-Asian multi-sport event held in Incheon, South Korea. This was the third time South Korea hosted the Asian Games since 2002. Previously, it hosted the 1986 edition of the Games.

2014 Asian Para Games

The 2014 Asian Para Games, also known as the 2nd Asian Para Games, was an Asian disabled multi-sport event held in Incheon, South Korea, from 18 to 24 October 2014, 2 weeks after the end of the 2014 Asian Games. This was the first time South Korea hosted the games. Around 4,500 athletes from 41 countries competed in the games which featured 443 events in 23 sports. The games was opened by the Prime Minister Chung Hong-won at the Incheon Munhak Stadium. The final medal tally was led by China, followed by host South Korea and Japan, while Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Singapore, Syria and Qatar won their first ever Asian Para Games gold medal. 24 world and 121 Asian records were broken during the Games.

The 2014 Asian Games featured 49 competition venues and 48 training facilities on the sixteen days Games competition from September 19 to October 4, 2014. Of them, there are ten venues are newly built. All of the competition venues will be used after the opening ceremony bar football venues, which is held from September 14, 2014.

The 2016 Korean Sevens was the second leg of the Asian Rugby Sevens Series for the year. It was the first time the Korean Sevens tournament was included in the series. The event was held at Incheon in the Namdong Asiad Rugby Stadium

Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels were the defending champions. The regular season began on 14 April 2017 and ended on 6 November 2017. Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels won their fifth consecutive league title.

The 2017 Asia Rugby Women's Sevens Series is the eighteenth edition of Asia's continental sevens tournament for women. The lower tier Trophy, which serves as a qualifier for the series, was held in Laos. The Series will be played over two legs hosted in South Korea and Sri Lanka. The 2017 edition of the series serves as qualification to the 2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens, with the top two qualifying.

The 2018 WK League was the tenth season of the WK League, the top division of women's football in South Korea.

South Korea participated in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia from 18 August to 2 September 2018. It was the 18th appearance of the country at the Asian Games, except the first edition in Delhi. As one of the best competitors at the Games, South Korea's best achievement was in the 2002 Busan, with the acquisition of 96 gold, 80 silver and 84 bronze medals. At the latest edition in 2014 Incheon, the country had collected 79 gold, 71 silver, and 84 bronze medals.

The 2019 WK League was the eleventh season of the WK League, the top division of women's football in South Korea. The regular season began on 15 April and ended on 31 October 2019.
