Contents

80 Turkmen athletes were competing in 12 disciplines: athletics, boxing, cycling road, judo, karate, swimming, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling, and wushu. [1]

Turkmen sportsmen won 6 medals (1 silver and 5 bronze) and end up 32 out of 37 countries that took part in the Games. [2]

It is projected that the Games will attract around 20,000 athletes who will compete in 409 events in 35 sports. This will be the first event in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
