South Texas International Airport at Edinburg( ICAO : KEBG, FAA LID : EBG) is in Hidalgo County, Texas, ten miles north of Edinburg. [1] [2] It received its name in July 2007, prior to which it was Edinburg International Airport. [3]

Most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, but this airport is EBG to the FAA and has no IATA code. [4]

Facilities

The airport covers 1,080 acres (440  ha ); its one runway, 14/32, is 5,000 x 75 ft (1,524 x 23 m) asphalt. In the year ending May 6, 2020, the airport had 5,000 general aviation and 340 military aircraft operations, average 102 per week. [1]
