Jesup Wakeman Scott High School is a public high school located in the Old West End neighborhood of Toledo, Ohio. It is part of Toledo Public Schools. It was named for a former editor of The Toledo Blade from 1844 to 1847. Scott was an entrepreneur, philanthropist and well-known civic leader who envisioned Toledo as the "Future Great City of the World." The current high school building was built in 1913. After receiving a $1 million grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Scott High School began a transformation from a comprehensive high school to four small learning academies. It is the only secondary school in the Edison Local School District, covering students from the villages of Amsterdam, Bergholz, Empire, Irondale, Richmond, and Stratton, as well as most unincorporated areas in northern Jefferson County. Athletic teams compete as the Edison Wildcats in the Ohio High School Athletic Association as a member of the Buckeye 8 Athletic League as well as the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference. South High School was a public high school in Springfield, Ohio. It was one of two high schools in the Springfield City School District (SCSD), the other school being North High School. The school was created in 1960 when the original Springfield High School was divided into North and South High Schools. South was housed in the original Springfield High School, built in 1911, and assumed the SHS school colors of blue and gold and the athletic team name Wildcats. The building was designed by Albert Pretzinger of Dayton and modeled after the Library of Congress.

Because Mercerville does not have its own US Post Office, its mailing address is considered Crown City, despite being 7 miles north of Crown City. It is one of two high schools in the Gallia County Local School District, the other school being River Valley High School. The South Gallia nickname is the Rebels. South Gallia School colors are Red, Gold, and White. The school opened in 1996 after a de-consolidation. The building is located next to the site of the old Hannan Trace High School. South Gallia is a combination of two elementary schools known as Hannan Trace and Southwestern, although Southwestern is a split school between South Gallia and River Valley. South Gallia has around 200 students enrolled. South Gallia has also achieved some of the highest OGT scores in Ohio. South Gallia High School's current principal is Bray M. Shamblin. Previous principals include Tim Scarberry and Scot West.
