History

Registers for the church began in 1816 and by 1842, Fazeley became a parish of its own. [2] In 1853, architect Henry Isaac Stevens and with funding and guidance from Robert Peel. The church was given a slated roof in during construction. [3] Original plans included the construction of a church tower, however due to lack of funding the plans were abandoned and the tower never completed. [4]

Present day

The church continues to serve the parish of Fazeley and surrounding villages and towns. [5]

The church is also part of the "Peels Parishes" alongside St Mary, St Giles & All Saints Church in Canwell, St Peter's Church in Drayton Bassett and Saint Barnabas Church in nearby Mile Oak.

The parishes have named their group after Sir Robert Peel. [6]
