The State Basketball League Rookie of the Year was an annual State Basketball League (SBL) award given between 1992 and 2003 to the top rookie of the regular season in both the Men's SBL and Women's SBL. The award was discontinued following the 2003 season, with the league introducing the Most Improved Player award in 2004.

Adrian "A. J." Majstrovich is a New Zealand-Australian former professional basketball player. He spent the majority of his 18-year career playing the Australian NBL, New Zealand NBL and State Basketball League (SBL). He was named the New Zealand NBL Rookie of the Year and MVP in 2003 and 2004, respectively.
Mike Ellis is an Australian former professional basketball player who captained the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League (NBL) for the club's first 11 seasons, and helped guide them to two championships in 1990 and 1991. The State Basketball League Most Valuable Player (MVP) is an annual State Basketball League (SBL) award given since 1975 to the best performing player of the regular season in both the Men's SBL and Women's SBL. Between 1975 and 1987, it was known as the Fairest and Best award. A name change occurred in 1988, as it was dubbed the Sands & McDougall Most Valuable Player award. The award remained without a name between 1989 and 1991, when in 1992 it was dubbed the John Syminton Most Valuable Player award following Syminton's appointment as president of Basketball Western Australia. Syminton held the position of president for four years (1992–95), and the award remained named in his honour until 1998. Since 1999, the award has had no name.
The State Basketball League Grand Final Most Valuable Player is an annual State Basketball League (SBL) award given to the best performing player in both the Women's SBL Grand Final and Men's SBL Grand Final.
The State Basketball League Coach of the Year is an annual State Basketball League (SBL) award given to the best head coach of the regular season in both the Men's SBL and Women's SBL. In September 2014, Basketball Western Australia announced the naming of the Men's SBL Coach of the Year award as the "John Gardiner Men's Coach of the Year", following Gardiner's death in May 2014. A former Olympian, Gardiner was involved with basketball for more than 50 years as a player, coach and administrator at all levels of the game. He coached more than 400 games and won five MSBL Championships with the Perry Lakes Hawks, including four consecutive between 2001 and 2004.
The State Basketball League All-Star Five is an annual State Basketball League (SBL) honour bestowed on the best players in both the Men's SBL and Women's SBL following every season. Various SBL All-Stars and All-Star teams have been announced over the years, with a number of All-Star games occurring between 1990 and 1993, and various All-Star teams being named yearly between 1996 and 2004. In 1995, an All-Star Five and an All-Star Ten was named for both the Men's SBL and Women's SBL. In 2005 and 2006, MSBL and WSBL All-Star Five teams were named. The SBL then introduced a first, second, and third team All-Star format for the 2007 and 2008 seasons. The SBL returned to a five-player All-Star team in 2009 for both the Men's SBL and Women's SBL. The term "All-Star Five" has been used by the SBL in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
