Stearamidopropyl dimethylamine is an ingredient in some types of hair conditioner. It has antistatic, emulsifying, hair conditioning, and surfactant properties. ^[2] It is water soluble, readily biodegradable, ^[3] and mildly toxic to aquatic life. ^[4]
