Stephen Lillie CMG (born 4 February 1966) [1] is a British diplomat who was High Commissioner to Cyprus from 2018 to 2022.
Lillie was educated at South Wolds Comprehensive School and The Queen's College, Oxford. He joined HM Diplomatic Service in 1988 and was sent for Chinese language training at the School of Oriental and African Studies and the Chinese University of Hong Kong 1989–91. He served in Beijing 1992–96, at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) 1996–99, at Guangzhou as Consul-General 1999–2003, and in New Delhi 2003–06. He was head of the Far Eastern Department at the FCO 2006–09, then ambassador to the Philippines and also non-resident ambassador to Micronesia, the Marshall Islands and Palau 2009–13. He was Director, Asia Pacific, at the FCO 2013–17 and was then appointed to be High Commissioner to the Republic of Cyprus from April 2018. [1] [2]

Sir Geoffrey Doyne Adams served as the British Ambassador to Egypt from 2018 to 2021, as a member of the British Diplomatic Service. He was Ambassador to the Netherlands from 2013 to 2017.
James Nicholas Allan was a British diplomat, High Commissioner in Mauritius (1981–1985) and ambassador to Mozambique (1986–1989).
Sir Alexander Wykeham Ellis is a British civil servant, currently Ambassador designate to Spain, scheduled to take up his post in Summer 2024. He has previously been High Commissioner to India, Ambassador to Brazil and before that Portugal, and Deputy National Security Adviser for the Integrated Review on diplomacy, development and defence. Ellis was previously the Director General of the Department for Exiting the EU. He had previously been Britain's ambassador to Brazil from July 2013 to January 2017.
Paul Thomas Arkwright is a British diplomat who was High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria 2015–18.
Sir Dominick John Chilcott is a British diplomat who was Ambassador to Turkey from 2018 to 2022.
Asif Ahmad is a banker-turned-diplomat, having served as a Senior Civil Servant at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. From 2017 to August 2021 he was the British High Commissioner to Jamaica. He was the British Ambassador to Thailand from November 2010 until August 2012. He was the British Ambassador to the Philippines from July 2013 to 2017. He has also been accredited to the Bahamas, Palau and Laos.
Paul Damian Madden is a retired British diplomat, who was High Commissioner to Singapore and to Australia, and Ambassador to Japan between 2017 and 2021.
Dame Judith Anne Macgregor is a British diplomat who was High Commissioner to South Africa from 2013 to 2017. She previously served as Ambassador to Slovakia from 2004 to 2007, and Ambassador to Mexico from 2009 to 2013.
John James Rankin, is a British diplomat and a former ambassador to Nepal. He served as the Governor of the British Virgin Islands from January 2021 to January 2024. He was the Governor of Bermuda from December 2016 to December 2020.
Antony John Phillipson, is a British diplomat, and as of 2021, British High Commissioner to South Africa. He was High Commissioner to Singapore from 2011 to April 2015, and from 2017 to June 2021 was the British Consul-General in New York and Her Majesty's Trade Commissioner for North America.
Sir James Sebastian Lamin Wood,, usually known by his middle name Sebastian, is a British diplomat who was the Ambassador to China from 2010 to 2015, and Ambassador to Germany from 2015 to 2020.
Sir Thomas Drew is a British diplomat who was the Director General, Defence and Intelligence, at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and has previously been British High Commissioner to Pakistan.
Francis Raymond Baker is a British diplomat and civil servant who was Ambassador to Libya from February 2018 to April 2019. He was Ambassador to Kuwait from 2010 to 2014, and Ambassador to Iraq from 2014 to 2017.
Dame Sarah MacIntosh is a British diplomat who is the Deputy National Security Adviser for International Affairs. She previously served as High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, Ambassador to Liberia and British Ambassador to NATO from 2017 to 2022.
Andrew Scott Norman Wightman was a senior British civil servant and diplomat. Before his appointment as Director for External Affairs in the Scottish Government, Wightman was High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to Singapore from 2015 to 2019, succeeding Antony Phillipson. Prior to this, Wightman was British Ambassador to South Korea between 2011 and January 2015.
Jan Thompson is a British diplomat, who since April 2023 has served as the British Ambassador to Norway. She served previously as British Ambassador to the Czech Republic from 2013 to 2017, and as British Deputy High Commissioner to India from 2018 to 2023.
Joanna Louise Roper, Lady Drew, is a British diplomat who has served as the British Ambassador to the Netherlands and Permanent Representative of the United Kingdom to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague since 2020.
Alison Mary Blake, is a British diplomat who is currently serving as Governor of the Falkland Islands and Commissioner of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. She previously served as High Commissioner to Bangladesh and Ambassador to Afghanistan.
