Steve Claggett (born June 11, 1989) is a Canadian professional boxer who has challenged for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) super lightweight title.
Claggett has Chinese ancestry through his maternal grandfather. At age 19 he started having trouble with the law which led to boxing to help cope [1]
Claggett had a successful amateur career with 29 fights and winning the Alberta Provincial Championships and in 2007, the Canadian National Championships. [2]
Claggett made his debut against Brandon Carlick in Edmonton in September 2008. He won a majority decision. Claggett suffered his first defeat of his career against Romeo Jakosalem in the Philippines. This was also his first fight outside of Canada. [3]
Claggett faced off against fellow Canadian Yves Ulysse Jr. twice as a professional with both fighters picking up a win each. Claggett won the first fight in Montreal in October 2017 on a split decision. Ulysse Jr got revenge in April 2019 in California winning on a unanimous decision. [4]
Claggett had his biggest fight to date on June 29 when he took on WBO champion Teofimo Lopez. Despite putting up a good effort Claggett was unsuccessful and lost a unanimous decision. [5]

Zou Shiming is a Chinese former boxer and two-time Olympic champion. In amateur boxing, he is China's most successful boxer of all time. In the light-flyweight division, he won three consecutive Olympic medals, as well as three World Amateur Boxing Championships gold medals in 2005, 2007 and 2011. He competed in professional boxing from 2013 to 2017 and held the WBO flyweight title from 2016 to 2017.

Vasiliy Anatolyevich Lomachenko, also spelled Vasyl Anatoliyovych Lomachenko, is a Ukrainian professional boxer. He has held multiple world championships in three weight classes, from featherweight to lightweight, including the International Boxing Federation (IBF) lightweight title since May 2024. Previously he held unified and Ring magazine titles at lightweight.
José Ángel "Carita" López Rivera is a Puerto Rican former professional boxer who has competed in the flyweight and super flyweight divisions. His first professional championship was the Puerto Rican flyweight title, which won by defeating José Luis De Jesús. López's first championship opportunity was against Alberto Jiménez for the World Boxing Organization's flyweight title, in a contest that he lost by unanimous decision. This was followed by three more world championships fights, two of them for major titles. However, López lost these contests by unanimous decision. On June 23, 2001, López won the WBO Latino super flyweight title. After losing to Fernando Montiel in his fifth world title opportunity, he recurred to fight for regional championships. From 2001 to 2008, López compiled an undefeated record consisting of 14 wins and a single draw. On March 28, 2009, López defeated Pramuansak Phosuwan to win the WBO's super flyweight world championship.
John Riel Reponte Casimero is a Filipino professional boxer and YouTuber. Félix Giomar Verdejo Sánchez is a ex Puerto Rican former professional boxer and convicted murderer. As an amateur he represented Puerto Rico at the 2012 Olympics. Between 2012 and 2020 Verdejo competed professionally for Top Rank and held the WBO Latino lightweight title from 2015 to 2017. In May 2021, Verdejo turned himself in to police to face federal charges in the murder of his pregnant mistress. In 2023, he was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.
Josh Taylor is a Scottish professional boxer. He is a former undisputed light-welterweight champion, having held the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and World Boxing Association (WBA) titles between 2019 and 2022, the World Boxing Council (WBC) title between 2021 and 2022, the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) title between 2021 and 2023 and the Ring magazine title between 2019 and 2023. Teófimo López vs. George Kambosos Jr. was a lightweight professional boxing match between unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and The Ring lightweight champion Teófimo López, and IBF mandatory challenger George Kambosos Jr. The fight took place on November 27, 2021, at the Hulu Theater, and was broadcast live exclusively on the streaming service DAZN. López was a 13-1 favourite heading into this fight. Kambosos Jr. won in one of the biggest upsets in recent boxing history.
