Stuart Gordon Whittingham (born 10 February 1994) is a Scottish former cricketer who played for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club as well as representing his country in One Day Internationals. Whittingham has also represented Loughborough MCC University,Sussex and the Scotland Under-19 cricket team. Primarily a right-arm fast-medium bowler,he also bats right handed. However,in September 2020,Whittingham was forced to retire from cricket due to a back injury. [1]
Whittingham was educated at Christ's Hospital School, [2] a boarding independent school near the market town of Horsham in West Sussex,followed by Loughborough University.
Whittingham's first recorded match is for the Sussex U-13 team in June 2007. Other Sussex cricket teams he has also represented are Sussex U-15s and U-17s,the Sussex Academy,and the Sussex Second XI;Whittingham has also played non first class matches for Roffey Cricket Club and Loughborough MCC University [3] Whittingham made two appearances for Scotland U-19s in 2013/14,in warmup matches for the 2014 Under-19 Cricket World Cup,and was named in the squad for the tournament. [4] [5] Whittingham made his first-class cricket debut for Loughborough MCC University against Hampshire in April 2015. His bowling figures were 1/77 and 0/32. [6] [7] Whittingham was awarded a junior professional contract for Sussex for the 2016 English cricket season. [6] He made his first appearance for Sussex in a County Championship match against Derbyshire,taking figures of 2/38. He dismissed Hamish Rutherford and Neil Broom,and also hit Billy Godleman on the helmet. [8] [9]
He made his One Day International debut for Scotland against Papua New Guinea in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship on 6 October 2017. [10] He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for Scotland against Ireland on 16 June 2018. [11]

William Thomas Stuart Porterfield is a Northern Irish cricketer and former captain of the Ireland cricket team. He played first-class cricket for Gloucestershire and Warwickshire. A left-handed batsman,he has played for Ireland since 2006,and has captained Ireland at all levels from Under-13 and is considered one of the greatest Irish cricketer of all time. During Afghanistan T20I series in March 2017,he passed 1,000 runs in T20Is and became the first player from Ireland to do so. In May 2018,he was named as the captain of Ireland's squad for their first ever Test match,against Pakistan.

The 2015–2017 ICC World Cricket League Championship was the second edition of the ICC World Cricket League Championship. It took place from 2015 until 2017,in parallel with the 2015-17 ICC Intercontinental Cup. Both Ireland and Afghanistan had been promoted to the main ICC ODI Championship and did not compete in this tournament. Instead,Kenya and Nepal were included in the tournament. The tournament was played in a round-robin format. All matches were recorded as List A matches,and those in which both teams had ODI status were also recorded as ODIs.

The 2017 Royal London One-Day Cup tournament was a limited overs cricket competition that forms part of the 2017 domestic cricket season in England and Wales. Matches were contested over 50 overs per side and had List A cricket status. All eighteen First-class counties competed in the tournament which ran from the end of April with the final taking place at Lord's on 1 July. Nottinghamshire won the tournament,defeating Surrey in the final. The defending champions were Warwickshire.

The 2021 County Championship was the 121st cricket County Championship season in England and Wales. For the first phase of the tournament,the teams were split into three groups of six,with each side playing ten matches. The top two teams from each group progressed into Division One for the second phase of the competition,with the other teams progressing to Divisions Two and Three. The team that finished top of Division One became the county champions;and the top two teams from Division One contested a five-day match at Lord's for the Bob Willis Trophy. On 17 December 2020,the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed all the fixtures for the tournament. After completion of the group stage on 14 July 2021,the ECB confirmed the fixtures for the division stage on 22 July 2021.
