Studio N is a subsidiary of Webtoon Entertainment Inc. launched in August 2018 that produces drama films and television series based on stories from their Korean library of webtoons and web novels. [1] [2] [3] [4] The subsidiary is headed by Kwon Mi-kyung, who was a former head of the film business division of CJ ENM. [1] [5] Kwon describes the studio as a "IP bridge company that collaborates with existing film and drama production companies". [2]

Yumi's Cells is a South Korean manhwa series written and illustrated by Lee Dong-gun. This webtoon was released on internet portal Naver Webtoon from April 1, 2015 until November 13, 2020 with a total 512 chapters. The story revolves around Kim Yumi, a 32-year-old office worker, and her brain cells, tiny blue-hooded cells that control her every mood, thought, and action.

Based on a Naver webtoon of the same name by Vanziun, it is about the romance and fierce obsession between a man with two conflicting personalities and a woman with a dark past. It aired on KBS2 from January 2 to February 27, 2024, every Monday and Tuesday at 22:10 (KST). It is also available for streaming on Wavve in South Korea, and on Viu and Viki in selected regions.

<i>Yumis Cells: The Movie</i> 2024 South Korean animated film

Yumi's Cells: The Movie is a 2024 South Korean animated cell–based psychological drama film directed by Kim Da-hee. Based on the webtoon of the same name by Lee Dong-gun, the film is produced by Locus Animation and Studio N. It follows an office worker Yumi and the myriad of cells inside her brain – such as Rational Cell, Emotional Cell, Anxiety Cell, Love Cell, Naughty Cell, and more – each responsible for Yumi's emotions and actions.

Can This Love Be Translated? is an upcoming South Korean television series written by the Hong sisters, directed by Yoo Young-eun, and starring Kim Seon-ho, Go Youn-jung, Sota Fukushi, Choi Woo-sung, and Lee Yi-dam. The series depicts the relationship of a multilingual interpreter and a top actress. It is scheduled for release on Netflix in the first half of 2025.

Song Jae-jeong is a South Korean film television screenwriter. Song is best known for her dramas, Nine, W: Two Worlds Apart, Memories of the Alhambra, and Yumi's Cells.

The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call (Korean: 중증외상센터) is an upcoming South Korean medical drama television series written by Choi Tae-kang, directed by Lee Do-yoon, and starring Ju Ji-hoon, Choo Young-woo, Yoon Kyung-ho, Ha Young, and Jung Jae-kwang. Based on the web novel Trauma Center: Golden Hour by Hansanleega, which was serialized into a Naver Webtoon in 2019. The series follows the journey of Baek Gang-hyeok, a brilliant trauma surgeon who joins a struggling university hospital. It is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in January 2025.
