The Sunbelt Baseball League (SBL) is a non-profit collegiate summer baseball league with teams located in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia and Oxford, Alabama. The SBL is a member of the National Alliance of College Summer Baseball, which is partially funded by Major League Baseball. [3] Games are played with wooden bats. The season starts in early June and runs through the end of July/early August, with playoffs determining the league champion.

The Richmond Braves were an American minor league baseball club based in Richmond, Virginia, the Triple-A International League affiliate of the Atlanta Braves from 1966 to 2008. Owned by the parent Atlanta club and colloquially referred to as the R-Braves, they played their home games at a stadium called The Diamond on Richmond's Northside built for them in 1985, and before then Parker Field on the same site. The franchise moved to Gwinnett County, Georgia in 2009 to play in the newly built Coolray Field as the Gwinnett Braves.

The Atlanta Crackers were Minor League Baseball teams based in Atlanta, Georgia, between 1901 and 1965. The Crackers were Atlanta's home team until the Atlanta Braves moved from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1966.

Brian Michael McCann is an American former professional baseball catcher. He played 15 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees, and Houston Astros. A seven-time All-Star and a six-time Silver Slugger Award winner, he won the 2017 World Series with the Astros. He is one of only four catchers to win the Silver Slugger Award six times and the only catcher to win the award in both the National League and American League.

Brian Gerald Snitker is an American professional baseball coach and former player who is the manager of the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball (MLB). Snitker has been in the Braves organization in different roles since playing in their minor league organization from 1977 to 1980. He became their manager in 2016. In 2021, Snitker led the Braves to a World Series championship.

The Roswell Recreation and Parks is a municipal department serving the city of Roswell, Georgia. It oversees eight public-use parks covering over 900 acres and sponsors over 25 athletic programs ranging from soccer, football, basketball, baseball, and swimming for all age groups. It has been recognized as one of the top civic recreation programs in the United States. The Roswell Recreations Department also works closely with local middle and high schools by providing practice fields.

The 1967 Atlanta Braves season was the Braves' second season in Atlanta and the 97th overall. The team went 77–85, as they suffered their first losing season since 1952, the franchise's final season in Boston. The seventh-place Braves finished 24+12 games behind the National League and World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Gwinnett Stripers</span> Minor league baseball team

The Gwinnett Stripers are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League (IL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. They play their home games at Coolray Field in unincorporated Gwinnett County, Georgia in suburban Atlanta, Georgia. They are named for striped bass in reference to the popularity of fishing in the region.

The 2009 International League season began on Thursday, April 9, with all fourteen teams competing on opening day. The regular season ended on Monday, September 7.

Craig Michael Bjornson is an American former professional baseball player and current coach who is now the pitching coach for the Atlanta Braves AAA affiliate, the Gwinnett Stripers. In terms of major league jobs, he was recently the bullpen coach for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). Bjornson previously coached for the Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox.

James Evan Gattis is an American former professional baseball designated hitter and catcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros. Gattis has also earned the nickname of El Oso Blanco or The White Bear, due to his raw power capabilities when playing for the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League. While with Atlanta, he played catcher and occasionally left field.

Rio Noble Ruiz is an American professional baseball third baseman for the Conspiradores de Querétaro of the Mexican League. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, and Colorado Rockies, and in the KBO League for the LG Twins. He was selected in the fourth round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft by the Houston Astros. In 2015, Ruiz was traded to the Atlanta, with whom he made his major league debut during the 2016 season.

Thomas E. Burrows is an American former professional baseball pitcher. The Seattle Mariners selected Burrows in the fourth round, with the 117th overall selection, of the 2016 MLB draft.

Joseph Tucker Davidson is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Angels, and Kansas City Royals. Davidson played college baseball at Midland College. He was drafted by the Braves in the 19th round of the 2016 MLB draft, and made his MLB debut with them in 2020.
