Sunny Nights is an upcoming Australian drama-comedy series for Stan. [1] It was created by Nick Keetch and Ty Freer. [2] The series focuses on siblings Martin and Vicki who both while trying to start a new business venture in a spray tan business, they somehow get caught up in the criminal underworld, needing to survive and stay out of prison the two embark on a journey of self discovery and importance of family.
As two siblings attempt to start a new business venture in Sydney, they go to run a spray tan business but when they both stumble into the criminal underworld, trying to stay out of prison, stay alive and keep their business running. [2]
On 10 July 2024 the cast of the series were announced with both Will Forte and D'Arcy Carden announced as the two lead characters with former NRL player Willie Mason making his acting debut in the series. [3] [4]
On 12 March 2024, Stan had announced a slate of original dramas with Sunny Nights in that announcement alongside Critical Incident and Invisible Boys . [5] On 13 March, Screen Australia announced that the series had secured funding. [6]
On 11 July 2024, it was announced that the series had begun filming in New South Wales in the Sydney area. [7]
On 22 January 2025 the series was selected to be shown at Berlinale Series Market alongside n00b. [8]
