Sutton Downtown Historic District is a national historic district located at Sutton, Braxton County, West Virginia. It encompasses 85 contributing buildings and two contributing structures covering eleven square blocks. The district includes the commercial, ecclesiastical, and civic core of the town and surrounding residential area. The district includes a number of buildings representative of popular architectural styles from the late-19th century and early-20th century including Romanesque Revival, Colonial Revival, Gothic Revival, and Greek Revival. Notable buildings include the Braxton County Courthouse (1881-1882) and Jail (1905), Sutton Bank Building (1891), Farmers Bank and Trust (1909), Bank of Sutton (c. 1900), Methodist Episcopal Church, South (1896), Kelly / Fisher House (c. 1870). Elk / Midway Hotel (1894), and Katie B. Frame Residence (c. 1880). The two structures are the Bridge over Old Woman Run (1892) and Bridge over Elk (1930). [2]

Sutton is a town in Braxton County, West Virginia, United States. The population was 876 at the 2020 census. It is the county seat of Braxton County. Sutton is situated at a center of transportation in West Virginia. Interstate 79, a major north–south route, connects with Appalachian Corridor L, another significant north–south route, passes several miles south of town.
The Shepherdstown Historic District comprises the historic core of Shepherdstown, West Virginia. The town is the oldest in West Virginia, founded in 1762 as Mecklenburg. No structures are known to exist from the time before the town became known as Shepherdstown. The historic district is concentrated along German Street, the main street, with 386 contributing resources and 69 non-contributing elements. The chief representative period is the late 18th century, with many Federal style brick houses. German Street is also furnished with 19th-century "street furniture" such as metal fences, mounting blocks, wooden pumps and mature trees.
The Fort Madison Downtown Commercial Historic District has a collection of late-19th century store fronts centered on Ave. G, from 6th to 9th Street, and Ave. H from 7th to 9th, in Fort Madison, Iowa. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
The Lafayette Park Historic District is located in central Albany, New York, United States. It includes the park and the combination of large government buildings and small rowhouses on the neighboring streets. In 1978 it was recognized as a historic district and listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Many of its contributing properties are themselves listed on the National Register. One of them, the New York State Capitol, is a National Historic Landmark as well. Other government buildings include City Hall, the building housing Albany County government, the state's highest court and the offices of its Education Department along with the offices of the City School District of Albany. The Episcopal Diocese of Albany's cathedral is at one corner of the district.

The Downtown Adrian Commercial Historic District is a historic district comprising the downtown area of Adrian, Michigan. It was designated as a Michigan Historic Site and added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 17, 1986. The district is roughly bounded on the north by Toledo Street, on the east by North Broad Street, on the south by East Church Street, and on the west by North Winter Street (M-52), West Maumee Street, and the River Raisin. Most of the district is enclosed by the US-223 Business Route, although the two are not conterminous.

It encompasses 313 contributing buildings and two contributing structures, the Ohio River Rail Road Steel Pratt-through truss Bridge and Concrete bridge on State Route 68 over Sandy Creek. It includes the commercial and civic core of the town, and surrounding residential buildings. It includes example of popular architectural styles of the mid- to late-19th and early-20th century, including Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, Italianate, Craftsman, and Bungalow. Notable buildings include the McIntosh Building, First Baptist Church, Randolph Building/Caldwell Building (1907), the Grace Episcopal Church ; Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ravenswood Community Center (1938), and McIntosh House.
Downtown Buckhannon Historic District is a national historic district located at Buckhannon, Upshur County, West Virginia. It encompasses 57 contributing buildings and one contributing structure that include the civic and commercial core of Buckhannon. Most of the buildings in the district date from the late-19th and early-20th century in popular architectural styles, such as Italianate, Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, and Classical Revival. Notable buildings include the Presbyterian Church on Locust Street (1879), T. L. Stockert Building (1908), Peoples Bank Building (1910), Upshur County Court House, and U.S. Post Office (1916).
New Martinsville Downtown Historic District is a national historic district located at New Martinsville, Wetzel County, West Virginia. It encompasses 29 contributing buildings and one contributing site that include the civic and commercial core of New Martinsville. Most of the buildings in the district are two and three story masonry commercial structures dating to the late-19th and early-20th century in popular architectural styles, such as Italianate, Romanesque Revival, and Colonial Revival. Notable buildings include the New Martinsville City Building (1895), The McCaskey Building (1898), Winer's Department Store (1908), McCrory's, The Masonic Temple (1913), Theater/Palmer's Drug Store (1911), Lincoln Theatre (1920), United States Post Office (1931), Wetzel County Sheriff's residence (1897-1901), and Wetzel County Courthouse (1902).
Bluefield Downtown Commercial Historic District is a national historic district located at Bluefield, Mercer County, West Virginia. The district includes 73 contributing buildings in Bluefield's central business district. The buildings are primarily three and four story masonry commercial buildings. Notable buildings include The Shamrock Restaurant (1885), People's Bank (1895), the Art Deco / Moderne style Colonial Theatre and Appalachian Power Company building, Law and Commerce Building, Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Building, First Christian Church (1920), Elizabeth Kee Federal Building and Post Office (1911), Bluefield Sanatorium, and West Virginia Hotel (1923) designed by Alex B. Mahood. Located in the district is the separately listed Municipal Building. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
The Downtown Morgantown Historic District is a federally designated historic district in Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia. The district, encompassing approximately 75 acres, has 122 contributing buildings and 2 contributing sites including commercial and public buildings, residences, and churches. The district has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since May 2, 1996. Ten of the contributing buildings are listed separately on the National Register of Historic Places. Significant structures located within the historic district are the Monongalia County Courthouse, the Metropolitan Theater, and the Old Morgantown Post Office.
East Wheeling Historic District is a national historic district located at Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia. The district encompasses 300 contributing buildings and one contributing site, including the Monroe Street East Historic District. The district is primarily residential, developed in the late-19th and early-20th century. A number of popular architectural styles are represented including Greek Revival and Gothic Revival. Notable non-residential buildings include St. Joseph Cathedral (1926), former Hazel Atlas Company building, Scottish Rite Temple designed by noted Wheeling architect Frederick F. Faris (1870-1927), Elks Building, and YMCA (1906), also designed by Faris. The contributing site is Elk Playground. Also located in the district are the separately listed L. S. Good House, Charles W. Russell House, and Cathedral Parish School.

The Downtown Danville Historic District is a national historic district located at Danville, Virginia. The district includes 48 contributing buildings in the central business district of Danville. It includes a wide range of commercial, industrial, and institutional building types dating from the 1870s to the present. The district includes notable examples of the Late Gothic Revival, Tudor Revival, and Romanesque Revival styles. Notable buildings include the Danville City Auditorium (1932), Morotock Manufacturing Company (1907), J. T. Stovall Tobacco Factory (1876), Kingoff Building (1892), American National Bank & Trust Co, Woolworth's Building (1937), Southern Amusement Building (1922), Elks Home (1912), Danville Post Office (1932), Masonic Building (1921-1922), and Danville City Market (1930s). Located in the district are the separately listed Hotel Danville and the Danville Municipal Building.
Beverley Historic District is a national historic district located at Staunton, Virginia. The district encompasses 131 contributing buildings in downtown Staunton. It is a compact commercial district characterized by a well-preserved collection of 19th-century buildings. The buildings are characteristically two- to four-story, brick structures in a variety of popular architectural styles including Romanesque Revival and primarily Italianate. Notable buildings include the old YMCA (1890), Hoover House Hotel (1893-1894), Putnam Organ Works Store (1894), City Hall, Odd Fellows Hall, U.S. Post Office (1936), and the Masonic Temple building (1895-1896). Located in the district are the separately listed National Valley Bank and Augusta County Courthouse.

The district encompasses 47 contributing buildings and one contributing structure in the central business district of Plymouth. It developed between about 1870 and 1940, and includes examples of Italianate, Romanesque Revival, and Colonial Revival style architecture. Located in the district is the separately listed Plymouth Fire Station. The Middlesboro Downtown Commercial District in Middlesboro, Kentucky is a 37 acres (15 ha) historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
The Columbia Historic District is a neighborhood in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. At the time the district was listed on the register, its contributing properties included 128 historic homes, one church, and eighty-seven historic outbuildings, including garages and barns, all constructed between 1844 and 1938. The district also contained several dozen buildings that do not contribute to the historic district, including modern homes from the post-war era as well as modern garages and other additions to historic properties.
The Downtown Paris Historic District, in Paris, Kentucky, in Bourbon County, Kentucky, is a historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
