Rogaland[ˈrûːɡɑlɑn](listen) is a county in Western Norway, bordering the North Sea to the west, and counties Vestland to the north, Vestfold og Telemark to the east, and Agder to the east and southeast. The administrative centre of the county is the city of Stavanger, which is one of the largest cities in Norway.
Sandnes is a city and a municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It lies immediately south of Stavanger, the 4th largest city in Norway and together, the Stavanger/Sandnes area is the 3rd largest urban area in Norway. The urban city of Sandnes lies in the extreme western part of the vast municipality and it makes up about 5% of the total land area of the municipality.
Sola is a municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Jæren. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Solakrossen. Other villages include Tananger, Hålandsmarka, Sørnes, and Stenebyen. Stavanger Airport is located in Sola, just a short distance from the large Stavanger/Sandnes metropolitan area.
Forsand is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The 780-square-kilometre (300 sq mi) municipality existed from 1871 until 2020 when it was merged into Sandnes municipality. It was located in the traditional district of Ryfylke. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Forsand. Other villages in the municipality included Lysebotn, Øvre Espedal, Oanes, Kolabygda, and Fløyrli.
Figgjo is a borough of the city of Sandnes in the west part of the large municipality of Sandnes in Rogaland county, Norway. The borough is located in the southern part of the city. It has a population (2016) of 2,213. The borough is mostly rural, but the village of Figgjo lies in the southern edge of the municipality. About 90% of the population of the borough lives in the village of Figgjo.
Høle is a borough and village in the western part of Sandnes municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located along the Høgsfjorden in the eastern part of the municipality. The area was historically a part of the municipality of Høle. Høle Church and Høle School are both located in the village. The Norwegian National Road 13 runs through the village and the borough.
Høyland is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The municipality was located at the innermost end of the Gandsfjorden in the western part of the present-day municipality of Sandnes. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1965. The main church for the municipality was Høyland Church.
Hommersåk is a village in Sandnes municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located in the borough of Riska in the northern part of the municipality. It is situated about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) northeast of the centre of the city of Sandnes, along the shore of the Riskafjorden, an arm off the main Gandsfjorden. The 2.28-square-kilometre (560-acre) village has a population (2019) of 6,425 and a population density of 2,818 inhabitants per square kilometre (7,300/sq mi).
Ganddal is a borough of the city of Sandnes in the west part of the large municipality of Sandnes in Rogaland county, Norway. The 12.1-square-kilometre (4.7 sq mi) borough is located in the southwest part of the municipality. Ganddal has a population (2016) of 7,318.
Hinna is a borough of the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. The borough includes the southernmost part of the city, bordering the city of Sandnes. The borough of Hillevåg lies to the north, the municipality of Sola lies to the west, and the Gandsfjorden lies to the east. Hillevåg was a part of the old municipality of Hetland until 1965. The borough has residential areas as well as some industrial areas, especially relating to the oil industry. The 15-square-kilometre (3,700-acre) borough has a population (2016) of 22,581. This gives the borough a population density of 1,505 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,900/sq mi).

The station is located in the downtown, harbour area of the city of Sandnes. The station is served by regional trains to Kristiansand and Stavanger along the Sørlandet Line and by local trains on the Jæren Commuter Rail network from Stavanger Station to Egersund Station. This station is located 14.78 kilometres (9.18 mi) south of Stavanger Station. The station has a waiting room, ticket machines, and food kiosks, but few other services.

Austrått is a borough of the city of Sandnes in the west part of the large municipality of Sandnes in Rogaland county, Norway. The 6-square-kilometre (2.3 sq mi) borough lies just southeast of the main city centre of Sandnes. The borough has a population (2016) of 8,251. Prior to 2011, the borough of Bogafjell was a part of Austrått, but it was split off to form its own borough at that time. Høyland Church is located in Austrått.
Trones og Sentrum is a borough of the city of Sandnes in the west part of the large municipality of Sandnes in Rogaland county, Norway. It encompasses the downtown part of the city, at the inner end of the Gandsfjorden. In 2016, this borough had a population of 8,250 and is 2.5 km2 (0.97 sq mi) in size. Sandnes Church is located in this borough.
Malmheim og Soma is a borough of the city of Sandnes in the west part of the large municipality of Sandnes in Rogaland county, Norway. The 20-square-kilometre (7.7 sq mi) borough sits in the western part of the municipality and it has a population of 1,597. It was created in 2011 when the old boroughs of Malmheim and Soma were merged. The Julabygda Chapel is located in the small village of Julebygda in this borough.
Høle or Høgsfjord is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The large municipality existed from 1865 until 1965. It was called Høgsfjord from 1865 until 1871 when the municipality was reduced in size and the name was changed to Høle. The municipality originally was quite large, surrounding both sides of the Høgsfjorden and Lysefjorden. Throughout its history, it included large parts of the present-day municipalities of Sandnes and Gjesdal. Since 1965, the area of Høle has been the borough of Høle in Sandnes municipality. Høle Church was the main church of the municipality.
Sandnes Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the large Sandnes municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Trones og Sentrum in the centre of the city of Sandnes in the far western part of the municipality. It is the church for the Sandnes parish and it is the seat of the Sandnes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The red, brick church was built in a long church design in 1882 using plans drawn up by the architect Hartvig Sverdrup Eckhoff. The neo-gothic church seats about 420 people.
Sviland Chapel is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the large Sandnes municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Sviland in the rural borough of Sviland on the eastern edge of the city of Sandnes which is in the western part of the municipality. It is one of the two churches for the Høyland parish which is part of the Sandnes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1913 using designs by the architect Michale Slettebø. The church seats about 140 people.
