Sviland is a borough in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Sandnes in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the rural part of the municipality, southeast of the city of Sandnes. With a population (2020) of only 1,332, the borough is one of the least populous of all the boroughs in Sandnes. [3] On the other hand, Sviland borough is 68.6 square kilometres (26.5 sq mi), making it the second largest borough by area. Sviland Chapel is located in the borough.

The borough is home of the legendary Norwegian race horse Rex Rodney, winner of the 1986 Elitloppet.

Sandnes Sentrum Station is a railway station in the city of Sandnes which lies in the western part of Sandnes Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The station is located in the downtown, harbour area of the city of Sandnes. The station is served by regional trains to Kristiansand and Stavanger along the Sørlandet Line and by local trains on the Jæren Commuter Rail network from Stavanger Station to Egersund Station. This station is located 14.78 kilometres (9.18 mi) south of Stavanger Station. The station has a waiting room, ticket machines, and food kiosks, but few other services.

Høle or Høgsfjord is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The large municipality existed from 1865 until 1965. It was called Høgsfjord from 1865 until 1871 when the municipality was reduced in size and the name was changed to Høle. The municipality originally was quite large, surrounding both sides of the Høgsfjorden and Lysefjorden. Throughout its history, it included large parts of the present-day municipalities of Sandnes and Gjesdal. Since 1965, the area of Høle has been the borough of Høle in Sandnes municipality. Høle Church was the main church of the municipality.

Sandnes Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the large Sandnes municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Trones og Sentrum in the centre of the city of Sandnes in the far western part of the municipality. It is the church for the Sandnes parish and it is the seat of the Sandnes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The red, brick church was built in a long church design in 1882 using plans drawn up by the architect Hartvig Sverdrup Eckhoff. The neo-gothic church seats about 420 people.

Sviland Chapel is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the large Sandnes municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Sviland in the rural borough of Sviland on the eastern edge of the city of Sandnes which is in the western part of the municipality. It is one of the two churches for the Høyland parish which is part of the Sandnes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1913 using designs by the architect Michale Slettebø. The church seats about 140 people.
