The Swiss Cup Basel (formerly the Swiss Cup) is an annual curling tournament held in October in Basel, Switzerland. It is one of the earlier curling tournaments of the World Curling Tour season.
Silvana Petra Tirinzoni is a Swiss curler from Zurich. She is currently the reigning women's world champion skip having won the last four championships, in 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023. Tirinzoni also represented Switzerland at the 2022 Winter Olympics and 2018 Winter Olympics, after winning the 2017 Swiss Olympic Curling Trials.
Irene Schori is a retired Swiss curler from Bremgarten. During her career, she won two World Women's Curling Championships in 2014 and 2016 as third for the Binia Feltscher rink. She also won gold at the 2014 European Curling Championships and bronze at the 2010 European Curling Championships. In mixed doubles, she won back-to-back World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships in 2008 and 2009 with partner Toni Müller. She was the alternate on the Swiss women's team that placed fourth at the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Anna Ellinor Hasselborg is a Swedish curler who is the 2018 Olympic Champion in women's curling and a former World Junior Champion skip. In November 2019, she became the first curler in history to reign as the simultaneous holder of the European Curling Championship gold medal, the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship gold medal, and the Olympic gold medal.
The World Curling Championships are the annual world championships for curling, organized by the World Curling Federation and contested by national championship teams. There are men's, women's and mixed doubles championships, as well as men's and women's versions of junior and senior championships. There is also a world championship for wheelchair curling. The men's championship started in 1959, while the women's started in 1979. The mixed doubles championship was started in 2008. Since 2005, the men's and women's championships have been held in different venues, with Canada hosting one of the two championships every year: the men's championship in odd years, and the women's championship in even years. Canada has dominated both the men's and women's championships since their inception, although Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Scotland, the United States, Norway and China have all won at least one championship.

The purse for the event was CHF40,000, and the winner, Brad Gushue, received CHF13,000. It was held in a triple-knockout format. Gushue won in the final over Switzerland's Peter de Cruz with a score of 4–3.
The Women's Masters Basel is an annual bonspiel, or curling tournament, that takes place at the Curlingzentrum Region Basel in Arlesheim, Switzerland. The tournament is held in a round-robin format. The tournament has been a part of the World Curling Tour since 2006.
The 2012 Swiss Cup Basel was held from October 4 to 7 at the Curlingzentrum Region Basel in Arlesheim, Switzerland as part of the 2012–13 World Curling Tour. The event was held in a triple-knockout format, and the purse for the event was CHF40,000, of which the winner, Oskar Eriksson, received CHF13,000. Eriksson defeated Sven Michel in the final with a score of 5–4.
The 2013 Swiss Cup Basel was held from October 3 to 6 at the Curlingzentrum Region Basel in Arlesheim, Switzerland as part of the 2013–14 World Curling Tour. The event was held in a round robin format, and the purse for the event was CHF 43,200, of which the winner, Thomas Ulsrud, received CHF 14,000. Ulsrud defeated Oskar Eriksson in the final with a score of 6–3.

Isabella Marianne Peggy Wranå is a Swedish curler. She is a former skip of the Swedish junior women's team, with whom she won a World Junior championship in 2017. In 2018, she was inducted into the Swedish Curling Hall of Fame.
Bygg Ida Sofia Mabergs is a Swedish curler from Gävle. She currently plays lead on Team Anna Hasselborg. With the Hasselborg rink, she won the gold medal in women's curling at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
