GOOD Music is an American independent record label founded by rapper Kanye West in 2004. The label entered an exclusive long-term worldwide distribution contract with the Island Def Jam Music Group in 2011. In 2012, the label released its only compilation album, Cruel Summer. In 2015, Pusha T was appointed the president of the label by West, while record executive Steven Victor was appointed COO. In late 2022, Pusha T stepped down from the position as he was no longer on speaking terms with West.

Wilson is also a disc jockey (DJ), music arranger and former rapper, having released an album Accept Your Own and Be Yourself , in 1997 under Relativity Records. Strange Fruit Project is an underground hip hop group from Waco, Texas, which consists of producer and emcee Symbolyc One, his cousin emcee Myth and emcee Myone. The trio officially debuted in 2004, with a pair of underground releases, Soul Travelin and From Divine. Their biggest exposure came with the release of their acclaimed 2006 album The Healing. The group's name is derived from the Billie Holiday civil rights song "Strange Fruit".

He has produced for numerous musical artists, including Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Usher, Lil Wayne, Kid Cudi, Eminem, Pitbull, Yelawolf, Nelly, Mary J. Blige, Wiz Khalifa, Danity Kane and Jamie Foxx, among others. He received a Grammy Award for his work on Lil Wayne's 2008 single "Lollipop," and received a nomination for Best Rap Album for his work on "Whatever You Like" by T.I. that same year. Warren Trotter, professionally known as Really Doe, is an American rapper and songwriter from Chicago, Illinois. He was signed to Kanye West's record label GOOD Music from 2004 to 2008. He released his debut studio album First Impressions in 2009, through Cartel Records. He was also a part of the hip hop group The Go Getters with rappers Kanye West and GLC formed in 1996.
Jason Christopher Medeiros better known as Mr. J. Medeiros, is an American rapper, record producer, and songwriter. As well as releasing music under the name, Mr. J. Medeiros, he is responsible for forming the Hip Hop group The Procussions, is one half of the Hip Hop/Electronic duo AllttA, and the lead singer of Punk-Rap group thebandknives. In the song, West presents his thoughts on how fame can cause the destruction of relationships, while making comparisons of contemporary times to the lynching of African Americans in the United States during the pre-civil rights era. West delivers his vocals through an Auto-Tune processor, like on his 2008 album 808s & Heartbreak. It contains samples of both singer Nina Simone's 1965 rendition of Billie Holiday's song "Strange Fruit", and "R U Ready" by the duo TNGHT, who co-produced the track.

He is mostly known for co-writing Chris Brown and Drake's "No Guidance" which received a Grammy nomination for Best R&B song, and is currently 8x platinum. Velous is also known for co-producing Kanye West's hit single "All Day", which was Platinum-certified in the US and subsequently procured a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Song.
