TAFE South Australia (TAFE SA) provides vocational education and training in the state of South Australia.
On 1 November 2012, TAFE SA became a statutory corporation, separate from the SA Government's Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology, under the TAFE SA Act 2012. [1]
In December 2017, following a random audit of TAFE SA courses by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), 14 courses were affected for small discrepancies in assessment, affecting 630 students who were individually case-managed. The Weatherill government and Education Minister Susan Close announced that the government would cover expenses for affected students. [2] [3] [4]
The acronym TAFE stands for Technical and Further Education and is used and recognised nationally throughout Australia.
TAFE SA is a registered training organisation (RTO) and Institute of Higher Education under the jurisdiction of the ASQA and the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA). It is South Australia's largest vocational education and training provider, and provides training from entry-level certificates to Bachelor's degrees across the state of South Australia. As of 2024 [update] it has been awarded re-registration by ASQA as an RTO and Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students provider for a period of seven years. This is the longest accreditation period to date. [5]

The Regency campus includes the Regency International Centre, which includes three training outlets open to the public: Graduates Function Centre; TIROS Restaurant; and Results Cafe. The Centre also includes the Artisan Cheese Making Academy Australia, the only training college dedicated to artisan cheese in Australia, and the Campus Brewery, a micro-brewery with associated plant. [10] Le Cordon Bleu hotel management and culinary arts college, launched in 1992, [11] is also based at the Regency campus, and is partnered with both TAFE SA and the University of South Australia. The school was owned by the Career Education Corporation and it was also a partner with the French culinary institute Le Cordon Bleu. The school became affiliated with Le Cordon Bleu in 1999 and changed its name from the Western Culinary Institute in January 2010.

The branch campus was established in April 2003 and all US Cordon Bleu College locations closed in September 2017.
Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Minneapolis/Saint Paul was founded in 1999. The college is owned by Career Education Corporation under a licensing agreement with Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. It closed in 2017 along with all other Le Cordon Bleu colleges in the United States in the wake of changing federal loan guidelines.

The school was accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). In Las Vegas, Nevada, the school offered an Associate of Occupational Science degree in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts and a Certificate in Le Cordon Bleu Pâtisserie and Baking.

The college is owned by Career Education Corporation under a licensing agreement with Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. Students received training from experienced chefs and the programs were designed to help students prepare for culinary careers.

North Metropolitan TAFE is a state government-funded educational facility delivering Technical and Further Education (TAFE). It services the northern suburbs of Perth across ten campuses. It was formed on 11 April 2016, when the State Government announced after the Independent Review of the Vocational Education and Training Sector in Western Australia, that the 11 State Training Providers would be streamlined and form five new TAFE colleges in Western Australia. This resulted in the merging of Central Institute and West Coast Institute to form North Metropolitan TAFE.
Lot Fourteen is a business and technology precinct at the eastern end of North Terrace in Adelaide city centre, South Australia. The 7 ha (17-acre) site formerly accommodated the old Royal Adelaide Hospital, which was moved to a new building at the western end of North Terrace in 2017. Its name was derived from the original 1837 plan for Adelaide by surveyor-general Colonel William Light. By 2020, refurbished hospital buildings were home to a large number of tenants, and further new buildings and public spaces are planned, scheduled for completion around 2025. The redevelopment of the site has been led by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
