Taleqan (Persian : طالقان‎, also Romanized as Ţāleqān; also known as Taleghan)^[1] is a village in Chubar Rural District, Ahmadsargurab District, Shaft County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 438, in 108 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Chubar Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Ahmadsargurab District, Shaft County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 12,845, in 3,417 families. The rural district has 33 villages.
