Tamer Hassan (born 18 March 1968) is a British actor. He is best known for his role as the leader of the Millwall firm, opposite Danny Dyer in The Football Factory (2004). He has also appeared in Layer Cake (2004), Batman Begins (2005), The Business (2005), Kick-Ass (2010), The Hooligan Factory (2014), Game of Thrones (2016) and Snatch (TV series) (2017–2018).
Hassan was born and brought up in New Cross, London into a Turkish Cypriot family. [1] [2] [3]
Hassan first started working on market stalls at an early age and started boxing at the age of 10. He began an amateur boxing career at the age of 17 where he won two British titles. Having sustained an injury in amateur boxing, he turned to running his own nightclubs and restaurants. [4] [3]
Hassan started acting in television before his role in The Calcium Kid . [4] He was cast as the leader of a fictional football firm in The Football Factory , alongside Danny Dyer and Frank Harper. [4] The film's director Nick Love subsequently cast him in the primary supporting role for The Business . [5]
Hassan has had roles in films including The Ferryman , [5] Batman Begins , [5] Cass , [5] Eastern Promises , [5] and Clash of the Titans , [5] in which he portrayed Ares, the ancient Greek god of war. In 2011, he played "The Boss", a shady police officer, in the British film noir Jack Falls . He played "Chavez" in Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead. [5]
In 2016 he joined the HBO series Game of Thrones in Season 6 as Khal Forzo. [6]
Hassan is married and has two children: a son who is a professional football player, [7] and a daughter, Belle, who appeared in the fifth series of Love Island in 2019. [8]
He is a director of Nasdaq-listed company Lottery.com Inc. [9] He is also a fan of Millwall. [10]

Millwall Football Club is a professional football club in Bermondsey, South East London, England. They compete in the EFL Championship, the second level of English football. Founded as Millwall Rovers in 1885, the club has retained its name despite having last played in the Millwall area of the Isle of Dogs in 1910. The film is loosely based on the novel of the same name by John King and the first foray into filmmaking by video game producers Rockstar Games, credited as executive producers. The film was released in the United Kingdom on 14 May 2004.
Layer Cake is a 2004 British crime drama thriller film directed by Matthew Vaughn, in his directorial debut. The screenplay was adapted by J. J. Connolly from his 2000 novel of the same name. The film was produced by Adam Bohling, David Reid and Vaughn, with Stephen Marks as executive producer. The title refers to the social strata, especially in the British criminal underworld. The film's plot revolves around a London-based criminal, played by Daniel Craig, who works in the cocaine trade and wishes to leave the drug business. The film also features Tom Hardy, Michael Gambon, Colm Meaney, and Sienna Miller. Craig's character is unnamed in the film and is listed in the credits as "XXXX".
Danny Dyer is an English actor and presenter. Dyer's breakthrough role was as Moff in Human Traffic (1999), with other notable roles Billy the Limpet in Mean Machine (2001) and as Tommy Johnson in The Football Factory (2004). Following the success of The Football Factory, Dyer was often typecast in "hard-man" roles, although it was this image that allowed him to present The Real Football Factories, its spin-off, The Real Football Factories International and Danny Dyer's Deadliest Men. The Business is a 2005 crime film written and directed by Nick Love. The film stars Danny Dyer, Tamer Hassan and Roland Manookian, all of whom were in Love's previous film The Football Factory. Geoff Bell and Georgina Chapman also appear. The plot of The Business follows the Greek tragedy-like rise and fall of a young cockney's career within a drug importing business run by a group of British expatriate fugitive criminals living on the Costa del Sol in Spain.
