Tammaru (Persian : تمرو‎, also Romanized as Tammarū and Tamrū)^[1] is a village in Kheyrgu Rural District, Alamarvdasht District, Lamerd County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 108, in 24 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Alamarvdasht is a district (bakhsh) in Lamerd County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 14,915, in 3,174 families. The District has one city: Alamarvdasht. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Alamarvdasht Rural District and Kheyrgu Rural District.

The county is subdivided into three districts: the Central District, Eshkanan District, and Alamarvdasht District. The county has four cities: Lamerd, Ahel, Alamarvdasht, and Eshkanan.
