Tanaji Galgunde is an Indian actor primarily works in Marathi cinema best known for role in Sairat , which he was nominated for Filmfare Marathi Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. [1] He made his Bollywood debut in 2022 with the film Jhund. [2]

Early life

Tanaji Galgunde is from Solapur, Maharashtra. Before working in films, he was doing farming along with his college studies. [3]

Career

Tanaji Galgunde made his debut in the 2016 film Sairat in a supporting role. [4] Later he played various roles in the films Bhirkit , Maza Agadbam and the film Gast . [5]

He made his TV debut with the Marathi romance drama Man Jhala Bajind . [6] Then he worked in few episodes of comedy TV show The Drama Company . [7] [8]

In 2022, he made his Bollywood debut with the Jhund . [9]

Jhund is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language biographical sports film based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Sandip Singh, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Hiremath, Nagraj Manjule, Gargee Kulkarni and Meenu Arora under the banner of T-Series, Tandav Films Entertainment Pvt.Ltd and Aatpat Films. The filming began in December 2018 in Nagpur. The film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Akash Thosar, Rinku Rajguru and Ankush Gedam, is written and directed by Nagraj Manjule.
