Tara Alisha Berry is an Indian actress, known for her works in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films. [2] [3] She started out with a music video with Shaan, called Khudgarzi, produced by Eros in 2011. Her debut Hindi film was Mastram . [3]

Her next release was Chokher Bali, directed by Anurag Basu, which aired on Epic TV in 2015 as part of a series called Stories by Rabindranath Tagore . [2] On 11 September 2015, her film The Perfect Girl , directed by Prakash Nambiar, was released. [4] In 2017, she starred in the first album of Gaurav Sharma Tu Pyar Hai Mera. [5]

Tara was then signed on by Vishesh Films for a three-film deal. Her first Vishesh Films release is Love Games , directed by Vikram Bhatt produced by Vishesh Films and T-Series. [6] [7] In 2020, Tara again featured in the web series Mastram . [8]

Early life

Tara was born on 19 May 1988. Tara is daughter of Gautam Berry (first husband of Kirron Kher) and actress Nandini Sen. [1] [9] [10]

Mastram is 2014 Indian Hindi-language biographical film directed by Akhilesh Jaiswal, and starring Rahul Bagga and Tara Alisha Berry. The film is about an aspiring litterateur turning into an initially reluctant finally full-fledged pornographic writer, is inspired by the anonymous author of popular pulp fiction and sex stories in Hindi, only known as Mastram. These books sold at railway station stalls and small roadside and pavement shops in North India through the 1980s and 90s. Jaiswal makes his directorial debut with the film. The film also marks the debut of actress Tara Alisha Berry. The film features rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh's Gujarati Single "Achko Machko" and is also the theme song of the movie's trailer which was released on 14 Feb 2014 by Bohra Bros on YouTube.

Chokher Bali is a 1903 Bengali novel by Rabindranath Tagore that revolves around the central character Binodini and her relationships with three individuals. It explores the extramarital affair between Binodini, a young widow, and Mahendra, an old suitor of hers, the complicated friendship with Asha, Mahendra's wife, and her mutually conflicting feelings with Behari, Mahendra's childhood best friend. The novel also highlights issues of female literacy, child marriage, patriarchy within the family, and the fate of widows during that era.
