Kuantan is a city and the state capital of Pahang, Malaysia. It is located near the mouth of the Kuantan River. Kuantan is the 18th largest city in Malaysia based on 2010 population, and the largest city in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
Teluk Dalam is a town and district in the South Nias Regency, North Sumatra province, Indonesia. Following the splitting off of parts of the original district to form new districts, it is now mainly confined to the town, and its area is now 41.30 km2 (15.95 sq mi). In English, Teluk Dalam means "Deep Gulf". As of 2020, Teluk Dalam had a population of 25,480 and a population density of 601.6/km2. The white sandy beach and casuarinas and pine trees line the coast, with some rocky promontories facing the South China Sea. The fishing village of Beserah is about 5 kilometres away.

Pacu Jalur is the largest annual festival for the Kuantan Singingi district community, especially in the capital district of Taluk Kuantan located along the Kuantan river. This traditional event that has been passed down in Kuantan Singingi regency since hundreds of years ago, the culture has been held by the people of Kuansing until now. Pacu Jalur is a long boat rowing race, just like dragon boat race in Malaysia and Singapore.

KRI Teluk Amboina is a tank landing ship of the Indonesian Navy. The ship was built at Sasebo Heavy Industries, Japan and completed in 1961. Its design is a copy of LST-542-class LST, albeit faster than the original. As of 2020, Teluk Amboina is the oldest ship in commission with the Indonesian Navy.
