Alli Odunayo (born 23 December 1996), professionally known as Telz, is a Nigerian record producer [1] [2] [3] and songwriter known for primarily producing Burna Boy's Grammy award winning album Twice As Tall [4] and Patoranking's 2020 commercially acclaimed hit song "Abule". [5]

Early life and career

He hails from Ondo State, Nigeria. A graduate of Babcock University with a degree. [8] He began his recording career in 2011 with a few singles that he released in 2014 and 2015.[ citation needed ]

In 2020, Burna Boy's Twice As Tall album had Telz as the principal producer, with P Diddy serving as executive producer. The album also featured Timbaland's creations which later won the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards for Best Global Music Album category. [9] [10]

African Giant is the fourth studio album by Nigerian singer Burna Boy. The album was released on July 26, 2019, by Spaceship Entertainment, Bad Habit, Atlantic Records and Warner Music. The album is a mixture of Afrobeats, Afrobeat, dancehall, pop and hip hop. It was produced primarily by Kel-P, along with production from Benjamz, Dre Skull and Skrillex, among others. The album features guest appearances from Jorja Smith, Jeremih, Damian Marley, Zlatan Ibile, Angelique Kidjo, Serani, M.anifest, YG and Future. Afrobeats is an umbrella term to describe popular music from West Africa and the diaspora that initially developed in Nigeria, Ghana, and the UK in the 2000s and 2010s. Afrobeats is less of a style per se, and more of a descriptor for the fusion of sounds flowing majorly out of Nigeria. Genres such as hiplife, jùjú music, highlife and naija beats, among others, were amalgamated under the "Afrobeats" umbrella.

Afrikan Sauce is the fourth studio album by Kenyan band Sauti Sol, released on their eponymous record label Sauti Sol Entertainment. Recording sessions took place in 2020, with Burna Boy, American singer and songwriter Diddy and Mama Burna Bose Ogulu serving as the record's executive producers. The album is a mixture of Afrobeats, Afrobeat, dancehall, pop and hip hop. It was produced primarily by Telz, along with production from Rexxie, Timbaland and DJDS, among others. The song earned him an award at 2019 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival, in the African Producer of the Year category, with a nomination at The Headies, in the Producer of the Year category.
