Tennessee Miss Basketball

Each year the Tennessee Miss Basketball award is given to the person chosen as the best high school girls' basketball player in the U.S. state of Tennessee by the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association. [1] A Miss Basketball is named for each of five divisions competing in Tennessee girls' basketball.

The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA), along with the affiliated Tennessee Middle School Athletic Association (TMSAA), is an organization which administers junior and senior high school sporting events in Tennessee. The TSSAA is the only high school athletic organization in the United States to have a five-sport, Olympic-style spring sport championship tournament, known as Spring Fling, for baseball, softball, track and field, team and individual tennis, and soccer. Spring Fling began in Chattanooga in 1993, later moving to Memphis, and then establishing itself in Murfreesboro. The TSSAA was one of the first high school athletic organizations to host a central site for football championships, beginning in 1982.

Shanna Annette Zolman is an American professional basketball player, most recently for the Tulsa Shock of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She attended college at the University of Tennessee and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Broadcasting. Following her collegiate career, she was selected 16th overall in the 2006 WNBA Draft by the San Antonio Silver Stars.

A Mr. Basketball is named for each of five divisions competing in Tennessee boys' basketball.

Yolanda Nicole Fargas is an American basketball coach and executive. She is the president of the Las Vegas Aces of the WNBA. Fargas was formerly the head coach for the women's basketball programs at UCLA and LSU.

SEC TV was a syndicated package featuring live broadcasts of college football and basketball events from the Southeastern Conference. Each year the Minnesota Miss Basketball award is given to the person chosen as the best high school girls basketball player in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The honor has been awarded annually since 1978 by the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association.

The Lipscomb Bisons men's basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. The school's team currently competes in the ASUN Conference. The Bisons made their first ever trip to the NCAA tournament in school history in 2018, when they defeated Florida Gulf Coast University in the ASUN Conference tournament final.
