Tepidimonas fonticaldi is a Gram-negative, thermophilic, motile bacterium with a single polar flagellum from the genus Tepidimonas , which was isolated from a hot spring water sample from the Antun hot spring in Taiwan. [3]
Thermus is a genus of thermophilic bacteria. It is one of several bacteria belonging to the Deinococcus–Thermus group. It includes the following species:
Rubrobacter is a genus of Actinobacteria, given its own subclass (Rubrobacteridae). It is radiotolerant and may rival Deinococcus radiodurans in this regard.
Thermoanaerobacter is a genus in the phylum Firmicutes (Bacteria). Members of this genus are thermophilic and anaerobic, several of them were previously described as Clostridium species and members of the now obsolete genera Acetogenium and Thermobacteroides
Tepidimonas aquatica is a Gram-negative, aerobic, oxidase and catalase-positive thermophilic, rod-shaped, motile bacterium with one polar flagellum from the genus Tepidimonas, which was isolated from a domestic water tank in Coimbra.
Tepidimonas ignava is a gram-negative, slightly thermophilic, motile bacterium with a single polar flagellum from the genus Tepidimonas, which was isolated from the hot spring at São Pedro do Sul in central Portugal.
Tepidimonas taiwanensis is a Gram-negative, motile bacterium with a single polar flagellum from the genus Tepidimonas, which was isolated from a hot spring in the Pingtung area in southern Taiwan.
Tepidimonas thermarum is a Gram-negative, strictly aerobic, oxidase- and catalase-positive, slightly thermophilic, rod-shaped, motile bacterium with a single polar flagellum from the genus Tepidimonas, which was isolated from the Elisenquelle in Aachen.
Thiomonas islandica is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped, motile bacterium from the genus Thiomonas, which has the ability to oxidise sulfur compounds and hydrogen. It was isolated from a hot spring in Graendalur in southwestern Iceland.
Fervidobacterium changbaicum is a species of thermophilic anaerobic bacteria. It is non-sporulating, motile, gram-negative, and rod-shaped. The type strain is CBS-1(T).
Thermoanaerobacterium aotearoense is a slightly acidophilic, anaerobic, thermophile first isolated from hot springs in New Zealand, hence its name. It is Gram-negative, peritrichously flagellated, rod-shaped forming oval terminal endospores. Strain JW/SL-NZ613T is its type strain. Its genome has been sequenced.
Chelatococcus sambhunathii is a gram-negative, aerobic catalase- and oxidase-positive motile bacteria with a single polar flagellum from the genus of Chelatococcus which was isolated from sediment of a hot sulfur spring in Orissa in India.
Laceyella is a Gram-positive, thermophilic, spore-forming and aerobic bacterial genus from the family of Thermoactinomycetaceae. The genus Laceyella is namened after the English microbiologist John Lacey.
Laceyella sediminis is a thermophilic bacterium from the genus of Laceyella which has been isolated from sediments from a hot spring in Tengchong in China.
Planifilum is a Gram-positive and aerobic bacterial genus from the family of Thermoactinomycetaceae.
Planifilum yunnanense is a thermophilic bacterium from the genus of Planifilum which has been isolated from a hot spring in Yunnan in China.
Porphyrobacter tepidarius is a moderately thermophilic and non-motile bacteria from the genus of Porphyrobacter which has been isolated from a hot spring in Usami in Japan.
Thermonema lapsum is a Gram-negative and thermophilic bacterium from the genus of Thermonema which has been isolated from a hot spring in Rotorua in New Zealand.Homospermidine and homospermine are the major polyamines of Thermonema lapsum
Carboxydothermus pertinax is a thermophilic and anaerobic bacterium from the genus of Carboxydothermus which has been isolated from a hot spring on the Kyushu Island in Japan.
Caldicoprobacter is a genus of bacteria from the family of Caldicoprobacteraceae.
Caldicoprobacter guelmensis is a Gram-positive, thermophilic, non-spore-forming, anaerobic, xylanolytic and non-motile bacterium from the genus of Caldicoprobacter which has been isolated from water from a hot spring from Guelma in Algeria.
