Theresa Obumneme Okoli is a Nigerian academic.
Okoli was born to the Aniagboso family in the village of Okpuifite, Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area, Anambra State. She began her education at St. Augustine's Primary School, Ogun State. From 1971–1984, she continued at Girls Secondary School, Awgbu, Anambra State, where she obtained the West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE).[ citation needed ]
Okoli attended Anambra State College of Education (now, Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, Anambra State), where she graduated from the Department of Agric Education in 1988. In 1990, Okoli obtained her B.S. degree in Agric Education from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She obtained her Master's degree from the same university in 1995. In 2011, Okoli received a doctoral degree from Enugu State University of Science and Technology. [1]
Okoli joined the Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze on 3 March 1992 as an assistant lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Education. She became a principal lecturer in 2007 and a chief lecturer in 2011. Okoli served in a number of roles: Dean of the School of Agriculture and Home Economics Education, dean of student Affairs, coordinator of the Sandwich Programme, coordinator of the Continuing Education Programme (CEP), and Head of the Department of Agricultural Education. She is the National Secretary of Association of Women in Colleges of Education (WICE). [3] She is also the Chairman of the Forum for African Women Educationalist of Nigeria (FAWEN), FCET Umunze Chapter. [4]
On 17 May 2018, President Muhammadu Buhari appointed her as the fourth substantive Provost of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze. She succeeded the college's acting provost, Dr. Cicilia Nonye Ibekwe. Okoli is first staff member to hold the position of provost at the college. [5] [6]
In 2019, Okoli was honored with a distinguished labour-friendly award by Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union, (COEASU) [7] and distinguished alumni award by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. [8] She was conferred with a chieftaincy title, Mma Chinyereugo of Orumba (Jewel from God) by the Orumba Traditional Rulers Council, Anambra State. [9]

The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) is a university in Nigeria that was founded as Anambra State University of Technology (ASUTECH) on 30 July 1980, by the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Chief Dr Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo. The creation of Enugu State out of Anambra State in 1991 by the then Military President General Ibrahim Gbadamasi Babangida, transformed ASUTECH into Enugu State University of Science and Technology.
Mathias Nwafor Ugochukwu (1926–1990) was a prominent Nigerian businessman from Anambra State. A leading industrialist from the Eastern Region of Nigeria, he played a pioneering role in large scale manufacturing in the region. He was sometimes called by his alias, Ugobuzuo. He was a friend to various Igbo politicians such as K. O. Mbadiwe and the former Nigerian Vice President, Alex Ekwueme. The Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri, formerly the Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri is located in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, Nigeria. It was established in April 1963 as the Advanced Teachers Training College by the defunct Eastern Nigeria Government on the grounds of the Old Shell Camp, Owerri. It has since expanded across the Orlu Road on the banks of the Nworie River. It awards the National Certificate in Education (NCE) and the Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) and, in affiliation, with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) since 1984. The university is headed by Dr. (Mrs.) Stella Ngozi Lemchi, the Acting Vice-Chancellor (Administration) who was the erstwhile Provost of the college. She took over, in 2022, from Dr. Dan C. Anyanwu. Dr (Mrs.) Lemchi is the second female Provost of the college, after Professor Blessing C. Ijioma.

Joy Chinwe Eyisi is a Nigerian professor, author, scholar, educationalist, and philanthropist of Igbo descent. Between 2006 and 2011, she was head of department, English Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, (NAU), Awka, Anambra State. She is now deputy vice-chancellor (academic) of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), a position she assumed on 26 October 2017. Eyisi, who was hitherto the centre director of NOUN's Study Centre in the National Assembly in Abuja, emerged winner of the election held by the University Senate on 25 October 2017. She succeeds Professor Patrick Eya as the university's first female deputy vice-chancellor (academic).

Benjamin Chukwuma Ozumba is a Nigerian Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology who served as the 14th Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He succeeded Bath Okolo who was the 13th Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria. After his tenure, he handed over to the current Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Professor Charles Arinzechukwu Igwe. Ozumba served as the provost of the college of medicine of the same university between the years 2004 and 2008. The University of Nigeria became the first university in Nigeria to assemble laptops when he was appointed Vice Chancellor and the university opened its first indigenous University Laptop Assembly Complex. The first batch of laptops bearing the Lion brand were released. UNN also founded the Lion Science Park, Nigeria's first university-based science park. A gasification plant was constructed to create synthetic gas from organic solid materials for use in the production of electric power and other uses for the University of Nigeria community. During his tenure also, the University of Nigeria held the first position amongst Nigerian universities in the Webometrics University Ranking for more than three times in Google Scholar citation profiles.
Miriam Odinchezo Iruaku Ikejiani-Clark was a Nigerian Professor of Political Science at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State, who also served as minister of state for the Federal Capital Territory.
Charles Arinzechukwu Igwe is a Nigerian professor of soil science and the 15th Vice Chancellor of University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He joined the university in the year 1976 as a soil survey assistant and in 1976 he became an academic staff of the institution. In 2016, Charles was appointed the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) and re-appointed in 2018.
