Economy

The agricultural industry of Anaocha LGA is thriving, with significant amounts of crops including cocoyam, yam, and cassava being farmed there. Another significant economic activity in the Anaocha LGA is the processing of wood. The locals also participate in fishing and commerce, and well-known markets like the Afor market in Agulu and the Nkwor market in Adazi-enu help to support the local government area's economy. [2]

Nnewi North is a Local Government Area in Anambra State, south-central Nigeria. Nnewi is the only town in Nnewi North LGA. It has four villages (sub-towns) that make up the one-town local government, which includes; Otolo, Uruagu, Umudim and Nnewi-ichi. The traditional ruler of Nnewi- Igwe of Nnewi -presently is Igwe Kenneth Orizu the 3rd of which this royal family is from Otolo Nnewi, and for this reason, is regarded as first among equals of the four villages. Onitsha North is a Local Government Area in Anambra State, South-East Nigeria. The headquarters is in GRA, Onitsha. Onitsha is the only town in Onitsha North and Onitsha South LGA. Agulu is a large town in Anambra State, Nigeria. It is located in Anaocha Local Government Area. Agulu is under the Anambra Central Senatorial District. It is home to the Agulu Lake. Agulu community has prominent men and women in politics, industries, academia and the government. The community also has produced a Governor in Anambra State in the person of Mr Peter Obi. Agulu is also known for the Agulu-Nanka erosion sites. Agulu comprises twenty villages. These are: Nwanchi, Nneohia, Okpu, Ama-Ezike, Odidama, Amorji, Isiamaigbo, Ukunu, Uhueme, Obeagu, Obe, Nkitaku, Okpu-Ifite, Umubialla, Amatutu, Umuowelle, Umunnowu, Ifiteani, Umuifite, and Nneogidi.

Aguluzigbo is a Town in Anaocha Local Government of Anambra State, Nigeria. It comprises six villages: Iruowelle, Etuleze, Ihulu, Ufa, Ifite and Nduana. It is bordered by seven towns and they are Agulu, Ora-eri, Akwaeze, Igbo-ukwu, Nanka, Obeledu and Umuona. There are various pointers to the origin of the name. One version has it that the name "Aguluzigbo" is a shortened way of saying "Agulu nke di na uzo e si eje Igbo-ukwu" which translated in English would mean "The Agulu which is along the route to Igbo-ukwu". Apparently, the description serves to distinguish it from its neighbouring town which also goes by the name "Agulu".

Anthony Obiagboso Enukeme was a Nigerian businessman from Anambra State, south-eastern Nigeria. He was the founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Tonimas Nigeria Limited, a local manufacturing and trading company. He was a Papal Knights of St. Gregory recipient, and member of the Knights of St. John International (KSJI). He was also a member of the Board of Trustees of the APGA political party in Nigeria.
