Thameens Films is an Indian film production company based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It was founded in early 2000 by Shibu K, who is also running Thameens Maax Theatre & Thameens Release for distribution of movies mainly Tamil & Malayalam movies. They have distributed around 101 films in different languages across regions.

In 2015, Thameens Films were one of the producers of Puli , and it collected 150 crore in its full run. [1]

Thameens Films has acquired the Kerala theatrical rights of Vishal, Samantha starrer Irumbu Thirai which is slated for release in 11 May 2018. [2] [3]

In 2022 Thameens Films Distributed India's Biggest Movie 'RRR', Directed By Rajamouli.The Budget Of The Movie was above 450cr. Company bagged the distribution rights of kerala for 2022 biggest Industry hit Movie Vikram starring Kamal Haasan and directed by Lokesh kanagaraj.

Poojai (transl. Prayer) is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Hari and produced by Vishal. The film stars Vishal, alongside Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Mukesh Tiwari, Awadesh Mishra and Soori. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music, while cinematography and editing were handled by Priyan and V. T. Vijayan.

Puli is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language fantasy action adventure film written and directed by Chimbu Deven. The film stars Vijay in a dual role as demon prince, and his son a half-demon, alongside Hansika Motwani and Shruti Haasan in the female leads. Sudeep features as the main antagonist of the film, along with Prabhu and Nandita Swetha in cameo roles. P. S. Mithran is an Indian film director and screenwriter who is currently working in the Tamil film industry. Mithran's native place is Mannargudi. He made his directorial debut through Irumbu Thirai (2018). He followed it up with the superhero film, Hero (2019), and spy thriller, Sardar (2022).

Chakra (transl. Wheel) is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language action techno-thriller film written and directed by M. S. Anandan in his directorial debut. The film stars Vishal, Shraddha Srinath, and Regina Cassandra. The film's theme is based on cybercrime and e-commerce scams. where it revolves around two officers, who investigate the robberies that occurred on Independence Day. The film was perceived to be an unofficial stand-alone sequel to Irumbu Thirai due to the similar theme and ending between the two films.
