Thank You for Being a Friend: The Best of Andrew Gold is a compilation album by singer-songwriter Andrew Gold released in 1997 by Rhino Records.
The album consists of seventeen songs from Gold's first four Asylum Records studio albums, including hits "Lonely Boy" and "Thank You for Being a Friend", the previously unreleased track "The Final Frontier", the theme from the NBC series Mad About You , and two tracks, "Can Anybody See You" and "The King of Showbiz", taken from 1996 album ...Since 1951 (the liner notes incorrectly state that they are as well previously unreleased).

Andrew Maurice Gold was an American multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and record producer who influenced much of the Los Angeles-dominated pop/soft rock sound in the 1970s. Gold performed on scores of records by other artists, especially Linda Ronstadt, and had his own success with the U.S. top 40 hits "Lonely Boy" (1977) and "Thank You for Being a Friend" (1978), as well as the UK top five hit "Never Let Her Slip Away" (1978). In the 1980s, he had further international chart success as one half of Wax, a collaboration with 10cc's Graham Gouldman.
The Rembrandts are an American alternative rock duo, formed by Danny Wilde and Phil Solem in 1989. They had previously worked together as members of Great Buildings in 1981. The Rembrandts are best known for the song "I'll Be There for You", which was used as the main theme song for the NBC sitcom Friends.

Wax were a new wave duo based in Manchester, England, consisting of American singer-songwriter Andrew Gold and 10cc guitarist/bassist Graham Gouldman. They are best known for their European hit singles "Bridge to Your Heart" and "Right Between the Eyes". In the US, they were listed as Wax UK, while later releases were additionally credited as Andrew Gold & Graham Gouldman.
"Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)" is a 1969 song recorded by Sly and the Family Stone. Thank You for the Music is a box set by the Swedish pop group ABBA, released on 31 October 1994. It consists of 66 tracks across four discs, with the first three discs including all of the band's singles from 1972–1982, many B-sides, and some album tracks in chronological order; while the fourth disc includes some rarities and some previously unreleased material, most notably the 23-and-a-half minute long medley "ABBA Undeleted", which includes the track "Just a Notion", later released as part of Voyage in 2021. This box set marks the appearance of several ABBA tracks on compact disc for the first time.

"You Owe Me One" is a song recorded by Swedish pop group ABBA in 1982 for their unfinished ninth album. It was released as a B-side for the group's last single — "Under Attack" and on the 1997 and 2012 remasters of "The Visitors". It was excluded from the 2001 remaster due to the group's songwriters critical attitude towards "You Owe Me One". The vocal is shared by Anni-Frid Lyngstad, and Agnetha Fältskog singing in unison. For nearly four decades, "You Owe Me One" had stood as the last new song to be released by ABBA as an active group, until the 2021 release of "I Still Have Faith in You" and "Don't Shut Me Down" as a dual single from the band's ninth studio album and first in 40 years, Voyage.
Total: From Joy Division to New Order is a compilation album of material from Joy Division and New Order. It was released in the United Kingdom on 6 June 2011 by Rhino Entertainment and is the first album to feature songs from both bands in one album. It features five Joy Division tracks, including "Love Will Tear Us Apart", and thirteen New Order tracks, including a previously unreleased track, "Hellbent". A digital deluxe version also includes music videos.
