The Early Years is the fifth studio album by Mexican singer Zemmoa, released digitally in June 2023. She signed with Universal Music Mexico as her record label and recorded again the songs that she wrote at the beginning of her career as an independent artist. [1] [2]
Her song "Fashion Victims" was originally recorded in 2006 and describes a party with Kate Moss and Carmen Campuzano. [3] The song sampled Shake Your Groove Thing, and was part of the soundtrack of Así del precipicio directed by Teresa Suárez. [4]
Zemmoa presented her new singles "Soy Un Bombón" and "Fashion Victims" at the Somos festival, in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco [5] and the music Festival Axe Ceremonia 2023 at Bicentenario park among Rosalía, Travis Scott, Tokischa, M.I.A, Jamie XX, L'Impératrice and Julieta Venegas. [6] [7] [8] [9]

Julieta Venegas Percevault (Spanish pronunciation:[xuˈljetaβeˈneɣas]; born on November 24, 1970, Julieta Venegas is an American-born Mexican singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer who specializes in pop-rock-indie music in Spanish. She embarked on her musical journey by joining several bands, including the Mexican ska band Tijuana No!. Venegas is proficient in playing 17 instruments, including the acoustic guitar, accordion, and keyboard.
Concepción Velasco Varona, known professionally as Concha Velasco, also Conchita Velasco, was a Spanish actress, singer, dancer, television presenter, and theatrical producer. She received numerous accolades throughout her career in film, theater, and television spanning over six decades, including two National Theater Awards presented by the Spanish Ministry of Culture in 1972 and 2016, the Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Spanish Television Academy in 2009, and the Honorary Goya Award presented by the Spanish Film Academy in 2012.

Esta edición comenzó de verde con el talento de Zemmoa, artista que se presentó en el Festival Vive Latino con Plastilina Mosh, con quienes cerró la edición de este 2023, parte de lo que recordamos en la entrevista que tuvimos con ella después de inaugurar el AXE Ceremonia 2023.
Retrocedamos un poco. En 2006, un año después de ese fortuito encuentro con Hilton, Zemmoa publicó su primer sencillo: "Fashion Victims".
