The Essential Rick Price is a greatest hits album by Australian APRA award winning singer songwriter Rick Price. The album was released in November 2010. Price achieved media attention in Australia with "Heaven Knows" in 1992. The album was a big hit in Asia and Europe. [1]

The APRA Music Awards are several award ceremonies run in Australia by Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) and Australasian Mechanical Copyright Owners Society (AMCOS) to recognise composing and song writing skills, sales and airplay performance by its members annually. These awards are to honour achievements by composers and songwriters, and include the APRA Music Awards, the ART Music Awards and the Screen Awards, all in Australia.

Rick Allan Price is an Australian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. His debut album, Heaven Knows, was released in July 1992, which peaked at No. 3 on the ARIA Albums Chart. It provided two top ten singles, "Not a Day Goes By" and the title track (July). At the APRA Music Awards of 1992 "Heaven Knows" won Song of the Year for Price and his co-writer, Heather Field. His second album, contained the single "River of Love" (April), which peaked at No. 18. Since 2009 he has been a resident of Nashville, Tennessee. He was worked with numerous artists, as a vocalist, producer and songwriter, including Tina Arena, Tommy Emmanuel, Mitch Grainger, 1990s dance group Girlfriend, Jack Jones and numerous others.
