The Fucking Buckaroos are a folk punk band from San Francisco, California. The band is known for their blending of a number of genres including American folk, country, and bluegrass.
The Fucking Buckaroos were formed in San Francisco, CA in 2004 by Tim Sandberg, Thomas Puhek, and Sean Taylor. Originally a three piece acoustic act, the band added Ricky Pugh and Andrew Appleton to the line up in fall of 2004. In 2005, the band solidified its current instrumentation including guitar, mandolin, banjo, bass, and drums. They released an EP titled "When Cops Rode Bulls" [1] the same year on Fort Faxon records, named after the house on Faxon avenue in San Francisco where Ricky and Andy lived. [2] In 2007, the band released a full-length, self-titled CD. [3] [4] To support the album, the band launched a month and a half-long tour that spanned the US, [5] Canada, and Mexico. In 2009, the band released a split 7" vinyl-only record with Tijuana-based psychobilly band Los Helldandys, titled "Popular Romance." [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] In 2010, their version of Swingin' Utters "Fruitless Fortunes" was included on the Untitled 21: A Juvenile Tribute to the Swingin' Utters. [11] [12]
Over a two-week time period which spanned the weeks surrounding New Year's Day of 2012, the Buckaroos played a series of shows in Mexico, including Tijuana, Mexico City, and Oaxaca. [13] While in Mexico City, the band played a landmark show for inmates at a youth detention center, known as a Reclusorio. [14] [15]
In 2013, the Buckaroos embarked on a three-week tour of Germany and Belgium [16] [17] [18] [19] [20] to promote "II" [21] [22] [23] and their upcoming releases.
In late 2013, the Buckaroos went on an extended hiatus, with Pugh moving to Nashville seeking "a place with less overhead and good music," and Sandberg having his first child. [24] Before calling a break, the group recorded several songs to be released in two parts. The first part, "Puro Pinche Pari" EP, was released in 2015, [25] [26] and includes a cover version of the Los Tigres del Norte song "Contrabando Y Traición," and "Fiesta" by The Pogues. The second part has yet to be released.
Swingin' Utters is a Californian punk rock band that formed in the late 1980s. After a seven-year hiatus, the band reformed in 2010 and have since released four more records.
Lars Erik Frederiksen is an American musician, singer, songwriter and record producer best known as the guitarist and vocalist for the punk rock band Rancid, as well as the frontman of Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards and the Old Firm Casuals. In addition, he currently plays guitar in Oxley's Midnight Runners, Stomper 98, and The Last Resort. He was also briefly a member of the UK Subs in 1991. He joined Rancid in 1993 after the band was searching for a second guitar player and was present on their second album Let's Go. He has produced albums for bands such as Dropkick Murphys, Agnostic Front, The Business, Swingin Utters, Marky Ramone and the Intruders, Anti-Heros, Pressure Point, The Forgotten among others. He mixed GBH's 2010 album entitled Perfume and Piss, as well as Cock Sparrer's 2007 album "Here We Stand" both alongside Michael Rosen.
Folk punk is a fusion of folk music and punk rock. It was popularized in the early 1980s by the Pogues in Ireland, and by Violent Femmes in the United States. Folk punk achieved some mainstream success in that decade. In more recent years, its subgenres Celtic punk and Gypsy punk have experienced some commercial success.

They released their first EP entitled Shooting Blanks in 1996. One Man Army found moderate success in the late 90s punk rock explosion due to Jack's unique voice and melodic style of writing. They played on Warped Tour, the 2001 Holidays in the Sun Festival, traveled the world touring and released 3 full-length albums and a split full length with Alkaline Trio before breaking up in 2004.
Razorcake is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that publishes the Razorcake fanzine, a DIY punk rock fanzine published bi-monthly out of Los Angeles, California. It was co-founded by Todd Taylor and Sean Carswell in 2001.
The Copyrights are a pop punk band from Carbondale, Illinois made up of Adam Fletcher, Brett Hunter, Kevin Rotter, and Luke McNeill (drums). They are currently signed to Red Scare Industries. They are known for what Alternative Press calls "both the sloppy, slacker pop-punk of, say, early Green Day with the slightly more polished sheen of Teenage Bottlerocket or recent Bouncing Souls".

The Dreadnoughts are a Canadian 6-piece folk-punk band from Vancouver. The band combines a wide range of European folk music with modern street punk. In late 2011 they announced an indefinite hiatus. However, they followed this by playing shows occasionally, such as annual Vancouver shows, a two-week European tour in January 2014, and two March gigs with Guttermouth in 2014. On November 11, 2017 they released their fourth full-length album Foreign Skies. They followed this up with the album Into The North on November 15, 2019.
