The Inbetweeners Soundtrack [1] is a compilation album released as the soundtrack album for the British comedy series The Inbetweeners . It was released in November 2009 by EMI Records. It is a double album containing 48 tracks, featuring various artist tracks and sound bites from the first two series of the programme. [2]

Description

Due to being released in 2009, it only covers the first two series of The Inbetweeners. Its cover is similar to The Inbetweeners Series 1 DVD cover and title screen from all three series.

It features a majority of the tracks from the series. Not included is "Just Like Heaven" by The Cure, which plays during the credits of "The Duke of Edinburgh Awards". Other songs featured in the series are also missing, such as The Drums's "Let's Go Surfing", The Feeling's "Fill My Little World", Razorlight's "Before I Fall to Pieces", The Fratellis "Chelsea Dagger", Calvin Harris's "Acceptable in the 80s", Gorillaz' "Feel Good Inc.", The Ting Tings "That's Not My Name", Girls Aloud's "Something Kinda Ooooh", Sugababes' "Round Round", Rachel Stevens' "Some Girls", Rihanna's "S.O.S", Booty Luv's "Some Kinda Rush", The Ting Tings' "Shut Up and Let Me Go", Booty Luv's "Shine", The Chemical Brothers' "Setting Sun", and Damien Rice's "9 Crimes".

The album features fourteen tracks that are clips (samples) taken from moments in the programme. some are these are featured in The Inbetweeners: Top 10 Moments.

It also features cut-outs of the four main characters in the programme (in box forms), as well as unseen photos and sleeve notes.

There were three line-up changes with two of the original members leaving halfway through. In 2006, the only two female members launched their own band Booty Luv, which was taking off following the success of their debut single "Boogie 2nite". After their second album failed to chart and with low sales of their last two singles, the band decided to split. In May 2012, the four members from the third line-up reformed and toured Australia with S Club 3.

To date, they have released one BPI Silver-certified studio solo album as a twosome, and have had five top twenty hits in the UK. It was possible to pre-order signed copies of the album directly from the Ministry of Sound website.

The Inbetweeners is a British coming-of-age television teen sitcom, which originally aired on E4 from 2008 to 2010 and was created and written by Damon Beesley and Iain Morris. The series follows the misadventures of suburban teenager William McKenzie and his friends Simon Cooper, Neil Sutherland and Jay Cartwright at the fictional Rudge Park Comprehensive. The programme involves situations of school life, uncaring school staff, friendship, male bonding, lad culture and adolescent sexuality. Despite receiving an initially lukewarm reception, it has been described a classic amongst the most successful British sitcoms of the 21st century.

Soul Seekerz are an English dance music group and remix/production outfit, consisting of DJ/producers Julian Napolitano and Simon Langford.

Cherise Roberts is an English singer and songwriter who is a member of dance-pop duo Cherise & Nadia a.k.a. Booty Luv. She is also a former member of the hip hop/R&B group Big Brovaz. She has been with both groups since they both started. Roberts released a solo album, Look Inside before the debut album Nu-Flow by Big Brovaz was released. It only spawned one single, "2nd Best", while the album won a MOBO award.

Filthy Dukes are a synthpop band from London, England. The band is composed of Olly Dixon, Tim Lawton and Mark Ralph. Having been active since 2005, the band released their debut single "Tupac Robot Club Rock" on Fiction Records. The track features vocals by Philadelphian rap group Plastic Little. Their debut album, Nonsense in the Dark, was released on Monday 16 March 2009 with the track Messages receiving a lot of airplay. It was later released as a single.

"Say It" is a song by female English dance music duo Booty Luv. The song was written by Carl Björsell, Didrik Thott, Sebastian Thott and produced by Wez Clarke. It was released as the duo's sixth official single and the first single from their unfinished and unreleased second album. The song premiered on BBC Radio 1 on 10 April 2009. The single was then released four months later on 31 August 2009 through recording label Hed Kandi. "Say It" is an up-tempo song and has prominent dance and electronic dance characteristics. The song's lyrics evoke situations of lust and seduction whilst out at a club.
